- TriviaDuring this 2014 Japanese Grand Prix, Adrian Sutil collided. In the following lap, Jules Bianchi lost control of his Marussia in very wet conditions and collided with a recovery vehicle which it was close to Sutil's Sauber. He suffered a diffuse axonal injury. He underwent emergency surgery and was placed into an induced coma, and remained in critical condition and comatose until his death on 17 July 2015. Bianchi was the first Formula One driver killed as a result of an accident during a race event since Ayrton Senna at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
