  Olivia Benson : You know, I have a son and I adopted him and he... he is what makes everything worth it.

  Karen Karr : After what my husband has been through, it would just be a reminder of the night he stopped being a man. You're really going to try to put him in jail after that?

  Olivia Benson : I'm sorry for what happened to you. I really am, but that's not up to me.

• Jason Karr : [to the detectives]  Look, it was hard enough telling my wife that I went up to a hotel room and given what happened... my wife has totally forgiven me, haven't you, honey?

  Karen Karr : Of course I have.

  Jason Karr : So we'd like to put this whole debacle behind us, so I appreciate what you're trying to do but if you don't mind, it's best if we just focus on my recovery.
