Do your job
stevedudecz28 March 2024
Ive binge watched the show and enjoy it overall but the constant complaining by the workers is intolerable. Every episode I find myself saying just stfu and do your job. The show could have been infinitely better without the whining and fake drama. I agree with other commenters that the work is straight hack. The most accurate comment was building junk with junk. Also the show would have been much better without grumpy Tim. And not sure why they allowed the blatant harassment of any woman who walked into the office. I have no problem with most of the other characters other than Dave Jensen. A talented but endlessly annoying super douche.

A bunch of whiney incompetent morons

I wouldn't let these guys touch my riding lawn mower. Created drama and hack work. Don't bother with watching as it isn't even entertaining.

Exactly what the show is described as (junk!)
johnwesleysmith-1254820 October 2021
Andy is a arrogant greedy, unkowlagable owner that treats people and staff terrible. I understand everyone is in the business for profit but he's beyond that level of greed that will eventually put him under. His taste is absolutely terrible always chrome wrapping every car he bandaids together for a crazy profit. Most cars he returns to the road are not safe nor should be sold as such. He brings the whole show down and is the reason I have chosen to avoid watching in the future. Can't watch a show that should be considered the ultimate scammers.

Cool Show, Funny, Innovative, Hardworking
troyc-3149618 July 2019
I enjoy this show, they definitely try some off the wall projects, but they always seem to get it done. They're not afraid to apply a little Redneck Engineering and they don't pretend to be genuis all knowledgeable super mechanics who know everything. Not all their fixes I would use, but at least they're not spending a fortune to get the job done, remember they work in a junkyard. Most shows seem authentic, not much seems to be staged for a bunch of fake drama. Cast dynamics seem legit, it's what you'd expect from a bunch of people working at a junkyard. Overall they tend to joke around and laugh at each other, a place I would enjoy working.

horrible mechanics
ababatty22 September 2018
I wouldnt let these guys touch my bicycle. horrible habits. backyard knowledge isnt even complete. make every mistake under the sun. terrible ripoff off the genre. nothing original and the cast is lame. desperate imitation. the bearded guy wearing the blond wig in s4 ep11 is a tool.wig bit is really lame.notice these unqualified children left the fluid in the transmission for the monte carlo and poured it all over the floor installing the motor.by their comments none of them has real experience installing motors.amazed when buddy finally came up with the lift the car idea. head guy working with new rotors was not wearing gloves and coated them with grease.i can find mistakes everytime. watching the bodyman trying to beat a panel into place only to find the top is incorrect after beating it with a big hammer. forcing it.wooooow.none of these guys would be welcome to work in a shop i own.how is a show this stupid in its furth season.

I would NEVER buy a car from these bozos. Using junk to build junk.

Just cheap
emredikmen3 April 2022
Cheapness is imbedded into every aspect of this show, from the repairs to the hair dye of the owner. What they are documenting is so bad, I really wonder how they have a show...

Unlikable
cantstandya1323 January 2022
Why are they so utterly unlikable it makes it extremely difficult to watch. Then there's most of the jobs, they're quite shoddy, one of the worst was the truck with the camper on the back. They installed a ladder as it was quite high but the ladder was just bodgied on and would crack your skull open as it collapsed on you after opening the door.

Junkyard selling junk cars
dvalleeetl25 January 2021
I'm shocked that Andy Cohen can actually sell the junk he "restores". After watching these bozos working on cars I wouldn't take one of their cars even if they paid me.

Warning: Spoilers
It's a bad showing of cars to be sold when they show how they hack them together like the 3peice Jeep. Frames , body jams ,cutting it in to a one bad Jeep. I really wonder if motor vehicles and OSHA would approve these guys. There is so many safty violations I counted in one build or two.no glasses when grinding , lifts l have no idea ,just totally a big group of hackers

How do these people have a car show?
daniel_liguori11 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Just watched an episode where they built and sold a mini and lifted a bronco.

1) the mini - in the end it looks good at eye level, then the angle changes and you see the rockers are a wavy and mangled as can be but they just painted the car and hope the poor sap that bought it for $28k wouldn't notice. They did the ugliest weld I've ever seen on a show when fabricating the exhaust, and while the hood and roof looked like a nice paint job when they panned back the rear section had drips and other flaws, like it was their first paint job. You also see after the test drive as the buyer is getting out that on the inside the roof is rusty and unpainted - so that nice Union Jack on the roof will be bubbled and ruined in no time. But they got top dollar by appealing to a Brit who only saw the good and I guess never looked UP while on the test drive.

2) the bronco - I watched them cut the fenders back to make unnecessary room for the tires (they weren't gonna hit but they cut them back and instead of filling the cut with sheet metal they just covered it with ridiculous fender flares that stuck out further than the tires - a dumb look not to mention worthless and hides their backyard mechanic work. They then take it for a test drive and almost roll it on a decline because the suspension is stiff as hell, and then kick up mud into the fender wells where it will promptly rust out where they hacked the sheet metal away - of course some sap will have bought it by then so it won't be their problem. Also, when they almost rolled it neither guy was wearing a seatbelt, so that's the sort of wisdom these guys put into their work.

This is yet another motor trend show that shows a bunch of hacks doing hack work and trying and failing to be funny and entertaining. I guess if they rolled and were harmed I'd have been amused, so drive faster next time guys, maybe we'll get a few minutes of good television from you finally. There's a lot of very talented builders out there that would make great television so why do these so called car tv channels choose so many awful shops for their reality programming? Anyone who likes this show ought to watch some good car shows and you'll realize what nonsense and junk this show puts out.

It's Just a Junkyard...
p_ortensie200518 October 2022
This show is cringeworthy. Andy Cohen seems a tad bit too self absorbed, and needs to realize that he's only running a junkyard. He's not curing major diseases, nor is he dramatically benefitting mankind as his attitude indicates. The fact that he calls his dad by his first name, instead of dad, says a lot. He says it's because he wants to keep it business like, but when 100% of your staff knows he's your dad, just call him dad. I couldn't imagine what its like working for him. I'm 1000% positive he pulls that whole "Do you know who I am?" stuff in public when he doesn't get his way, or gets told no.
