Elijah Mikaelson : Wouldn't it be best for you to find someone that Hope despises a little less than me? Perhaps, quite literally, anyone else she's ever met.
Klaus Mikaelson : How Hope feels about you, is of no consequence! I have until the crest of the full moon to save her life! We defied the inevitable for a dozen lifetimes and I'm not about to surrender to it now! Please, Elijah... you're the only one I trust.

Caroline Forbes : [Klaus needs the twins to do magic to help Hope] No! No! Absolutely not! They're... they're children!
Klaus Mikaelson : They're Siphoner witches! It's what they were born to do! Siphon magic from one thing...
Caroline Forbes : ...and put it in another.
[pours herself a drink]
Caroline Forbes : So, after they siphon it from Hope, what are they supposed to do with it? You can't just shove a demon in a jar and put it on a shelf!
[takes sip]
Klaus Mikaelson : They'll put it in me.
Caroline Forbes : [swallows] That's great.
[chuckles]
Caroline Forbes : And then you can practice mindful meditation, while we just cross our fingers and hope that you don't develop some sort of temper. Oh, wait...
[pulls idiotic face]
Klaus Mikaelson : Do you remember... when you and your friends threatened to chain me up, drown me in cement and drop me in the deepest ocean?

Hayley Marshall : [Hope's pseudo-death experience] What happened? Why are you here?
Hope Mikaelson : I was sick. Mom, there's so much I have to tell you.
Hayley Marshall : No, you shouldn't be here. Hope, it's not your time yet.
Hope Mikaelson : It's okay. I wanna be here. I wanna be here with you.
Hayley Marshall : No! You have to go back. I need you to fight this. Hope, wake up!
Klaus Mikaelson : [in real life, kneeling over his unconscious daughter] Get Caroline! Tell her to bring her girls. *Go!*
[as Elijah dashes off, urging Hope:]
Klaus Mikaelson : Please come back to me. *Hope! Hope!*
Hayley Marshall : [breathing heavily] You... you have to go back to your Dad. Hope!
Hope Mikaelson : I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry that everything happened, and I can't forgive myself.
Hayley Marshall : Well, too bad, because I forgive you. *I forgive you, Hope.* And I know that you're scared, and I know that you're sad, and that's okay. What happened this year was about hatred and ugliness that was born long before you and long before me. I need you to fight this. Hope, *wake up!*
Hope Mikaelson : I wanna be here.
[tearfully:]

[guitar music heard]
Hayley Marshall : Come with me.
[Hope follows, pleasant chatter heard around campfire]
Hayley Marshall : Look.
[laughter, chatting]
Hayley Marshall : Jackson's here. My parents. Grandma Mary. I'm not dead because of you. I'm at peace because of you.
Hope Mikaelson : [exhales] If I go back, am I ever gonna see you again?
Hayley Marshall : [shakes her head] Not for a very, very long time. So you better have good stories, okay? Make art, use your voice,
[Hope sobs]
Hayley Marshall : have adventures, and have at least one totally epic love.
[both chuckle through tears]
Hayley Marshall : And be every bit of yourself, because the very best of me is in you.
Hope Mikaelson : [through deluge of tears] I love you, Mom.
Hayley Marshall : And I love you, too.
[they hug]
Hayley Marshall : Always and forever.
Hope Mikaelson : [still crying] I don't wanna let go.
Hayley Marshall : I need you to do something for me.
Klaus Mikaelson : [in real life] Please, Hope, please!
[tearfully:]
Klaus Mikaelson : Hope, come back to me!
Hope Mikaelson : [comes to] Dad! Dad!
Klaus Mikaelson : You're okay, you're okay!
[hugs her, holds her close]
Hope Mikaelson : I don't wanna die...
Klaus Mikaelson : I know.
Hope Mikaelson : I don't wanna die!
Klaus Mikaelson : I know. You're not gonna die. Sweetheart, you're not gonna die, I promise you. I found a way to save your life. And everything is gonna be better in the morning. I promise you.
[sobs]

Caroline Forbes : [starting out as voice-over] At the Salvatore School for the Young & Gifted, we are *big* on spirit. Education is our first priority, obviously.
[explains to interested parents:]
Caroline Forbes : We send students to the Ivy League, to Silicon Valley. Of course, if you're looking for a more *unique* course of study...
[students are shown doing paranormal activities]
Caroline Forbes : I assure you we are unmatched. We believe in inclusive blending of the species here. So... outside of the full moon, vampires, witches and werewolves all cohabitate peacefully.
Klaus Mikaelson : [interrupting] Where do you keep the Hybrids? In the root cellar?
Caroline Forbes : Excuse me. I just need... *one minute* with this very lost, new janitor.
[Klaus smiles]
Caroline Forbes : Come on, Bob, I'll show you the toilets.

Caroline Forbes : Seriously? You're not exactly a selling point for this place.
Klaus Mikaelson : Only because these kids have *so* many other options.
Caroline Forbes : I thought we made a deal about you showing up in Mystic Falls.
Klaus Mikaelson : That was a long time ago.
[exhales]
Klaus Mikaelson : I need your help. Caroline, Hope is dying. She consumed the dark magic and now it's consuming *her.* She won't survive tonight's full moon.
Caroline Forbes : She triggered her curse?
Klaus Mikaelson : It was my fault.
Caroline Forbes : I... I thought that the Crescent wolves could control their transformation.
Klaus Mikaelson : No, not the first one. It's a rite of passage. Unavoidable.
