A fun tribute to "Vanishing Point"

While the song doesn't make the cut as being something I like (neither the group as a matter of fact), I have plenty of respect and admiration for its music video, a fantastic tribute to the cult action film "Vanishing Point" (1971). Chris Cornell and company appear inside of a car racing through long desert highways while being chased away by the police, all edited down with the countless chase sequences from the movie along with Cleavon Little playing the radio host following the whole persecution. And strangely enough I'm not a big fan of the movie either (it's good but people put in such a high regard that I don't see what's the big deal with it) yet somehow the junction of mild elements and art forms end up being quite effective and memorable, making of "Show Me How to Live" a very interesting achievement. It simply works and the cinematic style of the video is of great appeal, style, excellent editing as well. I'd just remove the group's performance at the final minutes because it's not as interesting as the idea of them being followed by the police, it's a little distractive when they appear in front of a small local audience but that's just me. Lots of fun, anyway. Audioslave fans won't be disappointed, and "Vanishing Point" enthusiasts will love it, guaranteed. 8/10.
