If you liked Leverage, then you'll like this

This had a very Leverage feeling albeit with a little more coercion than what Leverage did. It has some great tongue and cheeks parts, sweetie.

Pure Fantasy

There are a dozen times in this episode where one little slip-up could have destroyed the whole thing. Because I now see that the writers and producers are going for the absurd, I've decided to suspend my disbelief and just enjoy the smug storytelling. To have that villa on Lake Como become available when Red just thought it up. To have a painter put together a masterpiece in less than 24 hour and hand it over wet. Come on. A much better plot element would be the knowledge that someone had already copied the painting and it was available for a price (whatever that is). Enjoy this but don't think too much as you watch it.

Why of my favorite Blacklist episodes

This episode is utterly brilliant with a blend of Thomas Crown Affair and Oceans 11. I love how absurd the context is, creating fantastic opportunity for humour. This episode is a refreshing break from the thriller/drama episodes. It's eccentric and super satisfying.

Not a penny in his pocket, yet ever so persuasive

I just love this episode. Things have calmed down after the extreme action and tension we've seen in the last season, which is fitting, as it is what Reddington needs to do in this situation.

This episode displays perfectly that Reddington does not need actual wealth to acquire some. I liked how he had to get creative; how he just faked his way through, successfully I might add. Everything was ridiculous and it required a tremendous amount of luck for this to work, but its fun to see how much of it was actually planned, and how he just winged some actions with the best result.

In a way, this is probably a filler episode (although I think the 'fillers' here are useful story-wise so as to follow Red's rebuild), but it was humorous and just a lot of fun to watch; a refreshing change of pace before the next action sequences commence.

A fresh Rembrandt

OK guys, I know everything in this show is far fetched to the point of absurdity, but seriously... an alleged art expert buying a false Rembrandt that was painted only the previous day?

If nothing else (and there is a truckload of everything else about antique paintings) the canvas would have been still wet and SMELLY! Oil colours smell when fresh. Even if you cannot distinguish a Monet from a Manet, you can still smell the fresh paint.

I like the absurd but not the stupid, as in this episode.

So far this season got off to a slow start. This episode of Blacklist tells me the writers are out of ideas or the show is coming to and end. The only interesting part of this episode was the last three minutes, everything before that had nothing to do with what we are accustomed to, very disappointing. I hope it gets better from here.
