The show with its one and only series just showed that Channel 4 has strong potentials, and the fact that this is not the first show picked by Netflix (after Black Mirror) is proving my point.
The plot of the show revolves around a psychotic British teenage Bonnie and Clyde go on a series of crimes escaping their miserable lives and through the 8 episodes you start to fight these feelings of should i be more compassionate about this as the police themselves face the same dilemma.
The screenplay was so tight and fast with a taste of dark sad comedy , it really drag you into how the brains of these two teenagers work in a fascinating complicated way.
The cast was just a perfection,, i first watched Alex Lawther in Black Mirror and he was amazing, perfecting the nervous anxious guy who can easily be dragged into chaos, he's still young but he reminds me of James McAvoy so much,, as for Jessica Barden "Alyssa" she is so talented as well, and the couple did an amazing job.
Final thought, The show "supposedly" ended in a vague way ,, so far there are no news of renewal , in the contrary , it suppose to be finished,, but i don't know yet why Netflix would pick up a cancelled show and still no news of production ,, but maybe they want to see the audience response !! who knows!
Recommended show ,, 3 fantastic hours ;)
