Fabienne has travelled to visit Pastor Steadman King, a successful faith healer, absent from the island for thirty five years, but know home with partner Amelia. The ceremony is brought to a halt when Fabienne collapses and dies having received a blessing from Steadman, in the form of water from a jug. Steadman must be guilty?
If I'm honest I think this was the slowest episode to this very strong season, it just seemed to take so long to get going, and when it finally did the ending seemed somewhat implausible, as a viewer I felt like the rug was pulled from under my feet. I couldn't really believe in the relationship between Fabienne and Steadman, surely there's a huge age gap?
There were positives, Ardal is now firmly in the role, I've really come to like him, he's so delightfully uplifting to watch. Steve Toussaint was a great addition to the show, he brought true star quality with him and stood head and shoulders above the rest, he is an exceptionally good actor.
There's always a flat story in every season, I'm pretty sure this is it, it wasn't bad by any stretch, it was just a bit slow.
