It's everyone's dream.
lmerana7 September 2019
To go back to your past and rewrite your story is probably one of your dreams when you feel that your life is the worst. That's why there are so many kdramas about going back in their past to give you the "what if " feel. I like this story among other "go back story" because I find this somewhat realistic to what a struggling couple may want in their lives. The characters acting were good and the ending was satisfying.

Solid 8,5

I think this was a pretty clean and tidy series. In twelve hour long episodes it gaves us a very clean and cut story with a somewhat satisfying ending as well as positive messages and advice. However, while it was perfect in all matters technical, be it the actors, the themes, the flow and the writing, it felt lacking in unpredictability.

The ending could be seen a few episodes in. There really wasn't a question how this series would end, the only question was how it would come to that point. And I think the journey was nice, it addressed a few series themes like loss, grief and how a marital relationship can start and end.

The typical korean drama undertone wasn't a plus in my opinion. Overreactions and stretched out moments which are only minor detraction points. Suprisingly the dramatic situations and misunderstandings weren't too frequent to become annoying.

I think what we have here is a very perfect example of what korean dramas are like. Sadness and happiness in equal measures, a romance that leads to a happy and feel-good ending. Despite this, the predictability of it and the lack of twists with in-story weight (no that thing at the end doesn't count) made it an enjoyable experience, but not much else.

The messages while nice enough weren't valuable to me, and while there were some good twists and turns, I don't think I'll remember this as one of my favourites.

I guess I'm also not the exact target-audience. Married couples are surely hit more by everything there, but as a single the impact was lessend by a lot.

Moving and funny time travel comedy
phd_travel20 February 2022
Many laugh out loud moments and touching scenes make this 12 episode show worth a watch. The time travel is used to contrast the two time frames movingly and comically. The first love triangles are quite funny. The poignant parts are touching including the mother who has passed. Jang Na Ra looks young enough to play both time frames. Jang Ki Yong in an early rom com role. There is a bit of a drag at the end.

I don't know how Koreans do it. Wow this is amazing
thebestjamesbond-820-32234010 September 2021
I have watched the highest rated western dramas like Ozark, breaking bad, GOT and movies and often find them dry. They are so dry you actually feel it. My Korean journey started with crash landing on you and this drama is already one of my favourites even though I still haven't finished watching it. If you are into feel good romantic comedy with human emotions and dynamics this drama has it all. There is a deeper psychological and Philosophical aspect embedded within the drama despite the fact that this is a few good light-hearted comedy. As in Buddhism Upajjhatthana Sutta : "I am the owner of my actions, heir to my actions, born of my actions, related through my actions, and have my actions as my arbitrator. Whatever I do, for good or for evil, to that will I fall heir". Whatever we intentionally think, do or say become our karma.

This drama is not a feel good comedy. It is just amazing.

Everything's perfect

I love the plot, the acting, the humor planted... everything's spot on. When I first finished 18 again(a 2020 Korean series), i thought that's the peak, nothing can top it, but then I got recommended to this. 18 again is definitely a 10/10, and go back couple is a 11/10.

A fantasy story of couple who goes back to thier youth time to realize the truths of life after devorcing each other in the future. Filled with full of lessons and parental love is the main theme of this drama. Overall, its heart warming story with happy ending. Makes you laugh and weep at same time.

Good enough
PennyReviews11 January 2018
Surprisingly good, even though the story originally was kind of odd. I honestly believed it would be a corny one, but the going back theme was very nice and greatly executed. The couple's dynamic was good and I liked their chemistry. Also, the performances from all the cast were good. The styling, in addition, was on point. However, one thing that really bothered me was the repeating theme of agony that the leading lady was experiancing in every level. It was getting tiring after a while, as well as the constant flash backs. All in all, good enough, so 6 of 10.

The story was touching my heart perfectly. Whenever Jang Na-Ra and Son Ho-Joon cried, I cried. I learn a lot from the movie.

👏

Come on! If you're a real kdrama fan you should know that this drama deserves a big recognition than what it is receiving rn. What a project for the leads. Both Son Ho Joon and Jang Nara did a really great job. Their chemistry was overflowing. Jang Nara and Jang Ki Yong's slight 'romance' wasn't awkward too. No wonder Jang Nara is my favorite actress. OSTs were all good especially the Wind Song.

9.8/10.

An excellent series to watch
sonia-9511118 February 2022
It's amazing how you stumble across these gems and you decide to watch them because you really like one of the actors (Jang Ki-Yong). It's surprisingly good and really well acted. All the characters are great! And the notion it poses is very meaningful and thought provoking. What would you change if you got a do over? Well worth the watch, I enjoyed it very much!

A mirror to reality
nishujikalal24 June 2022
Though this is not your usual rom-com, it will keep you hooked. Very emotional and touching. Maybe I won't be watching this again but i am glad I watched this series. There is no part where u would wanna skip and I hope others come across this one as well. If you are married then you could definitely relate to this I think.

A feel good series, one of the better ones
eliara37131 July 2023
This series is a gem. It can be very light hearted, comedy and feel good. But what surprised me was that I was emotionally touched at multiple situations. I like how well rounded and how deep it goes without dragging you down mentally. I was happy when I finished this show. I for sure will keep this series in my favorite list and rewatch, but not anytime soon. I liked not knowing how it will end and question it. Why it lost two stars, was because comedy/lighthearted series is not my taste and it was a little too much to be a 10/10 series according to me. I really liked how they portrayed and digged deep on a child's relationship to their mom. How complicated that relationship can be and that concept of what would you say to or do with your parent if you get to see them after you loose them. That was very touching and well pictured, I believe some will find this series healing. It is family and kids friendly. This series could bennifit a struggling couple, it can be an eye-opener, and something that makes them reflect. Also for kids who might forsaken their attentive parents, this series might make them appreciate their parents more.

Light Drama but Heavy on Message
skwek20 April 2023
One of the best of Korean dramas Enjoyable bit silly but the moral of the story is meaningful and will bring lots of misunderstood couples struggling to find some light in better relationship How does one make a serious heavy relationship story into one of humour and fun... Hollywood cant do it but this Korean one can A story of struggling couples in their 30s each having their expectations of each other Stress of survival often builds misunderstanding regrets of the marriage, and it's common Given a chance to get out of the hole and review the situation in another dimension, will do it?

Go for it folks..be patient it gets better in later episode.
