At the skating rink, Sydney, Leah, and Jonathan take a selfie in which Leah is wearing a helmet and Sydney and Jonathan are wearing winter hats. Later on, Leah gives Sydney a Christmas present of the printed selfie, in which Leah is not wearing the helmet and Leah and Jonathan are not wearing winter hats.
After being shown the photos in Sydney's locket at the airport, Jonathan asks to see the locket photos as if he has not seen inside it before.
Jonathan is frosting a Christmas cookie shaped like a stocking, but when he hands it to Leah, it's shaped like a candy cane.
Near the beginning of the movie, before the passengers start loading onto the plane, the main character closes all the overhead compartments, just the opposite of what a flight attendant should do.
In the credits at the end of the movie, Sophie Neudoff's name is misspelled as "Sohpie".
When Sydney is about to board the plane in Seattle, there is a bilingual English-French sign warning to not use the elevator in case of fire. When she supposedly arrives inside the terminal at Chicago's airport, there is a bilingual sign that reads in French "Aéroport International de Winnipeg".
The movie starts out in Seattle with shots of the Space Needle and the Pike Place Market sign during the opening credits, but they also have a shot of the Herald Square Macy's department store in New York City mixed in.
