When you have William Shatner, aka Captain James T. Kirk, on your show, you get to ask the Star Trek questions you’ve always wanted answered.
That’s what Bill Maher managed to do on Friday’s Real Time, as he probed one of pop culture’s most interesting moments — the interracial kiss between Captain Kirk and Lt. Uhura.
The moment caused some consternation in the upper reaches of the network before it happened. It was the 1960s, and many Southern TV stations would likely not approve.
But Shatner insisted on the kiss staying in the show. “If you had not insisted,” Maher said…, “It would not have gotten done,” Shatner admitted.
Maher also marveled how far Shatner fell from grace after the first run of Star Trek was canceled after three seasons. Shatner talked about watching the actual moon landing from a pasture while in his truck, his base...

This April marks the 10-year anniversary of Bassem Youssef’s final telecast of Al Bernameg. At its apex, the Egyptian satirical news show drew 40 million viewers and prompted comparisons between its host/co-creator and Jon Stewart before ultimately proving too controversial to remain on the air — or for Youssef and his family to safely remain in Egypt. They relocated to Los Angeles in 2016, and he’s spent the years since recalibrating, booking occasional acting roles and working on his stand-up.
He says he’s gotten his comedy groove back, now selling out shows across the U.S. and Europe. But that’s not why Youssef has been in the news so much of late. Starting with a viral appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, during which Youssef visibly unsettled the host with his dark satire of Islamophobia and critique of the Israeli government’s then-fresh response to the Oct. 7 Hamas attack,...

Greta Gerwig’s Barbie is, perhaps, one of the most misunderstood films of all time. A vast majority of the audience adored its message, while simultaneously reveling in the breathless beauty of Barbie Land.
Unfortunately, some did not understand what the film was trying to put forth or did not like the ‘feminist’ undertones that it had. Regardless of why they dislike the film, it has prompted them to criticize the entire movie, being angry at every little detail of it.
Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in Barbie
The most recent high-profile celebrity to voice their disdain about the Margot Robbie film was the German Auteur Werner Herzog. The Nosferatu the Vampyre filmmaker recently did an interview where he talked about the film and his thoughts on it were anything but positive. So much so, that he could not sit through more than 30 minutes of it.

Jay Leno told Piers Morgan on the latter’s show Uncensored that he generally tries to avoid talking politics, especially in his act.
“I just stopped doing politics in my act altogether. You know, when I did The Tonight Show, the idea was you made fun of both sides equally…they’d both be angry. And I’d go, ‘Oh, that’s good.’ You know, they both think you’re supporting the other guy,” Leno said on the episode that appeared online Thursday.
“Now, you’ve gotta take a side and people are angry if you don’t.”
Morgan asked Leno what he thought of Donald Trump, the politician.
“Well, I’m not a fan,” Leno replied. “If the people want that person as president, that’s fine. I mean, I’m not a fan, and it has nothing to do with politics. I just don’t think morally — I...

Director Guerrilla Metropolitana creates a unique piece of horror filmmaking totally unprecedented in history.
Arthouse / Avant-Garde cinema mixed with extreme horror and hardcore depravity, but blended visually and sonically in a very beautiful and artistic fashion.
The structure of the film is not a classic / traditional one like in most movies.
The London based Italian director creates a ‘mirror like” story where images are bounced against each other and create a multiple effect of interpretations.
Highly psychedelic and ultra realistic at the same time, this film brings the viewer in a total state of hallucinations and irresistible uncomforted and each time one watches it will see it differently (some of the technique used here were not far different from those used in hypnosis).
The story revolves around a dysfunctional middle-class family in the English countryside of Essex. Each member is deeply traumatized by the loss of a young girl (who...

Piers Morgan has hosted his fair share of controversial guests since launching his show on TalkTV.
The broadcaster quit Good Morning Britain in March 2021 after refusing to apologise for remarks he made about Meghan Markle, in the wake of her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Morgan later launched Uncensored on TalkTV, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, in April 2021, and has welcomed famous figures for interviews that often generate their own headlines.
Despite this, the show has suffered in the ratings, with the launch show’s figures of 317,000 dropping to as low as 10,000 in 2022.
This could spike due to Morgan’s next guest, Rishi Sunak, who marks 100 days in office as prime minister today (Thursday 2 February). He is scheduled to appear on the programme at 8pm.
While announcing the interview, Morgan wrote on Wednesday (1 February): “My interview with Rishi Sunakâ© tomorrow will be my first ever with a Tory Pm...
