- Set in the 1980s, Rebelistic follows the intersecting stories of a group of friends as they navigate the world of street sales, crime, friendship and love. Rebelistic is The Sopranos meets The Breakfast Club.
- Spencer Corales and Brandon Sanders are close friends, bonded together through a barrage of troublemaking activities throughout high school. As they enter senior year their friendship begins to crumble when Spencer joins a bizarre direct sales company with motivational chanting, aggressive sales techniques and street grittiness, while Brandon takes a darker road into criminal behavior. Spencer attempts to mentor Brandon and bring him into his company but Brandon can't be bothered. Brandon eventually gets busted for breaking and entering, landing him in a Juvenile Detention Center.
Spencer continues to move up in his world, sporting new clothes and tricked-out car, a hot new girlfriend, fancy restaurants, living the life. Meanwhile, Brandon's sister Loretta, a stunning singer, beings a recording career at an up-and-coming studio secretly backed by the local mob.
Brandon is released from juvie and escalates his criminality, robbing houses and getting richer. Brandon tries to recruit Spencer into the crime ring and when Spencer refuses, Brandon turns sour. Brandon then unknowingly robs the home of one of their high school friends, Suzanne, who discovers she's been robbed and informs her uncle, a connected mob member. Suzanne also tells Spencer, who in turn tells her what Brandon has been up to.
Spencer confronts Brandon, they argue and fight until both hit the ground. A gunshot rings out, creating a dead stop to the action, but it turns out to be only a warning shot and no one is hurt. But the cat is now out of the bag. Brandon pulled the robbery and Suzanne's uncle is going to do something about it. Spencer intervenes with Suzanne and her uncle and persuades them to allow him to talk to Perry, a mob boss, who subtly lets Spencer know that the mobsters won't hurt Brandon if he returns the value of the jewelry. To save his butt, Brandon forfeits to the mobsters all his cash as well as his classic car collection.
Brandon is no longer in danger from the mobsters, but he is soon arrested by the FBI and local police. Brandon's near-death experience has shaken him to the core and he shows remorse and a clear intention to change. He is still bitter about Spencer, but reluctantly admits that he appreciates him. The reason that Spencer was hell bent on helping Brandon becomes clear. Spencer understands that his own path was changed to a positive course when a mentor showed up and helped him in his darkest moment, and he wanted to be that mentor to Brandon, no matter how he was treated in return. Spencer wanted Brandon to know that someone cared and hoped he could help set Brandon on the right track. It appears that Spencer indeed has helped, but only time will tell.
