Adorable, funny, and a good season (almost series) finale!

Warning: Spoilers
This would have been a GREAT series finale; that being said, I'm very glad it wasn't because there were some great avenues that were opened. But you could tell it could have been due to the fact there is an abundance of callbacks, from Jake telling Amy she looks great, Amy's smoking, Teddy proposing, and Jake and Amy incorporating their butts into their vows.

The pairs they were in were perfect. I appreciate the fact Gina even acknowledges it. Also I appreciate the fact there were returning guest stars, such as Teddy. Oh and the Fred Armisen character.

This episode was extremely cute overall, from Jake and Amy's vows to Rosa and Alicia. And Terry encouraging Rosa. And Boyle tagging along with Jake and Amy. And Holt giving the vows. Alright it was all cute!

The perfect wedding for these two. Adorable, funny, and a good season finale. (10/10)

A heartfelt conclusion to the FOX era of Brooklyn 99!!

Don't get the negative reviews!! Jake and Amy had a lot of chemistry here and this episode proves that Season 5 is one of the best seasons of Brooklyn 99! If there was a season checklist for Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Season 5 ticks all the superlative boxes: most optimistic tone, best ensemble chemistry, most jokes, best guest stars, best character development, and most humorous insights. Kudos to NBC for picking up the series for season 6 after social media backlash resulting from FOX cancelling the series.

Love this episode so much

Jake and amy are one of my favorite tv couples of all time. They are very clearly meant for each other and that can be seen with in the pilot episode. their wedding was so amazing ang getting to see them improvise and have one of the most beautiful tv weddings of all time was just inspiring. I dont think anybody could ever write 2 characters more perfect for each other. This episode deserves a higher rating

Very strong ending just, in my opinion, they could finish whole Brooklyn nine-nine with this episode and don't create new season.

Funny Episode.

This was a pretty funny episode considering all the quirks and mishaps that have happened.

Great plot and story and just really funny.

Fred Armison guest starring also wasn't bad either.

Great funny episode.

Y'all Really Giving This a 10?

Are we really acting like this exact finale hasn't been done in every other workplace comedy?

Jake & Amy

Warning: Spoilers
You can tell the producers of this show were ready for this to be the end. The return of Fred Armisen's bizarre character from the pilot was a clear indication of that. NBC swooped in and saved the day and many fans won't complain, but this was probably the best from a story perspective they could wrap up with in the Jake and Amy wedding.

The funniest episode no, but this was probably the first time Kyle Bornheimer's character was actually amusing on the show.

Why, just why

Is it just me that thinks that Jake and Amy have no chemistry at all, they don't even seem to like each other, lines about how they love each other feel very forced, and marrying them was just a generic way to fit in the crowd?

Kind of a bland story
Steve_Holt_1 November 2023
Jake and Amy always felt forced to me, as if the writers needed a workplace romance drama and they were the best pairing they could come up with.

As for the episode itself, it was pretty standard-issue stuff: primary couple finally has their wedding day arrive.

Last minute dilemma threatens the day.

One last adventure/solve to save the wedding day.

A last minute venue change to a simple location for the wedding.

All the cast-mates contribute to make the day special.

And finally.... Cue the sappy music as a contrived scenario takes place where everyone pretends that this subpar location is somehow magical.

And top it off with a shmaltzy diatribe meant to evoke emotions.

Now I'm sure this'll receive a large majority of thumbs down, but it remains true that this episode is just another standard sitcom formula played out with no real inspiration or heart.
