I actually kinda like this sam-I-am

Although not a perfect pilot this show has a lot of charm. Warner brothers animation does a fantastic job of giving the Seuss world such life and vibrancy. Sam-I-am is wonderfully cast and can be a really good role model for the kids and of course Guy is also fantastic as well. Keegan as the narrator was a wise choice as his voice has such passion and bounce. Take a chance with this show I'll think you'll have fun, as for me we'll theres more watching to be done

I do like Green Eggs and Ham!
maxglen9 November 2019
This show had every right to be an awful cash grab on a beloved children's story but... this was pure joy. I loved every second. Even as a grown man there are jokes here for children and adults alike! Even if I had a complaint which I'm not sure I do I'm so overwhelmed by how much this show gets right that it's not even worth mentioning. Parent, child, whatever you are! Do not admire this show from afar! Watch it with family... watch it with friends... don't stop watching until this show ends! This show has good laughs and good heart in it too! Who knows if this show might just be for you?

If I Ran from the Zoo

Warning: Spoilers
Guy (a wonderful, rumbly Michael Douglas) is a failed inventor looking for one more chance. Sam (a top-notch Adam Devine) is a fast-talking huckster and animal thief. They meet in a diner one day, Guy with his latest failed invention and Sam with a stolen Chickaraffe, and Sam's choice of food is... strange, to say the least (it's in the show's title). The episode really milks how disgusting the dish looks. Guy's expressions are priceless. And the fact that it's served in a diner is perfect, because American diners may look stylish but they're as cheap and tacky as any old fast food joint and the food served in them is as greasy and unhealthy as it gets. Douglas and Devine are an eclectic casting combination, but one that works beautifully. As you will soon learn about Sam, he's not exactly a role model for the kids, but he is a ray of sunshine of Guy's life and does nothing but support him in his dreams. It's got some great sight gags, wordplays and the best narrator since the one from Rocky and Bullwinkle. This narrator is Keegan Michael Key, who can be heard in another Netflix series, 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance' (as the voice of skekZok the Ritual-Master), and he has superb delivery and comic timing. The villain, Snerz, is voiced by another 'Age of Resistance' voice actor, Eddie Izzard (who voiced the Gelfling Edler Cadia). He's not bad as a character but not particularly interesting. The animation is beautiful. Maybe the episode has too many subplots, but they'll all tie together eventually. Another thing worth noting is that the colours are very lush and yet still realistic. Dr. Seuss was known to experiment with colour and apply colours you wouldn't expect to backgrounds, but a green sky at night would work better in something like The Pink Panther than in this setting, so I don't mind the change much because this is a gorgeous looking series already.
