Brilliant romance between Yuki and Taira, I really thought they were adorable. It was sad that they kept separating but you know thats how being a vampire is lol. Such a good anime to watch, definately reccomend it to Anime romance fans!

Simple mature romance story with an immersive concept. I don't know how I came to know about this creative piece with a fine blend of action + romance. Heavens being good to me once. Action to get you the thrills and romance enough to tinkle those sweet sensations. Wish anime had more content on this blend of genres.

Starts off well, gets boring

Saw a preview to this anime and it looked interesting because I thought the main characters were different. Main male character wasn't your classic 'beautiful' male as he has dark circles under his eyes.. so it intrigued me when I saw him. He looked intense which I thought would lead to something interesting At first it really was. It was intense, he seemed really badass but as the series moved on, it really just became more of a cop show.

The sidekick seemed to disappear - a really interesting character with white hair who I thought would be a constant sidekick.

This didn't happen.

If you're after romance - there is very little as the series progresses.. it's mainly at the beginning. To be honest, the relationship developed too quickly which led to some 'oh ok so they -----' I would check out another season though.

Brilliant action-packed dark fantasy crime series with just the right amount of romance

The anime is true to the manga. The plot is good and well thought out but leaves one hoping for a second season. The suspense and mystery keeps you on your toes and the romance is deep and thoughtful. It can be said that it surpasses other titles of the same genre that have reached major popularity (e.g. Tokyo Ghoul). The character development and characters designs are well rounded. The art is modern, but suited to the genre - all in all quite beautiful. The opening song fits the series perfectly and the soundtrack helps well with the emergence of the story. The story deals with the issue of the devil inside us and when it comes down to it many humans are more inhumane and devilish than demons. The satire is embedded well and social commentary on ethics and other aspects of society gives one some food for thought and makes the series even more relatable. I would recommend it to any fans of genres like crime, mystery, fantasy, action, sci-fi, shounen, seinen, josei or romance. Some R+ scenes include minor violence, blood and guts, mild nudity and minor obscene language.

Please release a season 2!!!

Seems the first 2/3rds of my review got eaten leaving only the "Con's" so a rewrite from memory.

"Devils" brings little originality to the table and the majority of the major issues/drama would be avoided completely by the average person, let alone someone with more than an average lifetimes worth of experience. This alone makes it hard to engage with the characters or the story, but the poor choices they make becomes maddening, resulting in an anime anime to avoid.

Pro's: -Average Animation quality. -Good English Dubbing.

Cons: -Pacing is slow with lackluster story-building. -Characters are overly "emo" and struggle with making choices that aren't self-destructive and stupid. -Overarching story is substandard and can be seen from a mile away. -Most of the critical issues throughout the whole series (especially the main plot) would have been resolved with one person using a modern cellphone making video or the officers using body cams.

Renew for a 2&3 season!!!!

This anime is sooo good!!! I absolutely love how each character plays there role!!! I also love how in each episode it just gets better and better and by the time you know it you've finished the whole season! RENEW IT FOR A SECOND AND THIRD SEASON!!!

Dark, mysterious, romantic, hot

Forbidden love. Is there anything more tragic yet also undeniably captivating and romantic? I'm addicted. Devil's line is getting better and better with each episode. The beginning may feel a bit like an insta-love, but it's more of an insta-attraction, so it's okay. And if you keep watching, not only you'll have your heart pounding, but the story will occupy your brain as well. From a dark, vampire romance into a new society, with different rules, new approach to life and big conspiracies. There are also dark themes, adult language, fluffy and cute moments, and hot, steamy scenes.

I highly recommend and, after finishing with the anime, make sure to go read the manga with the same title. It only gets better from there. Oh, and when you reach the final episode, don't forget to watch after the credits. There's a bit of a bonus sene which makes a big difference.

I really hope they make more episodes because this was really interesting. It was filled with a lot of action and Yuuki Anzai and Tsukasa Taira are a very cute couple. And I like their voices in the English version. Johannes Kleeman was also one of my favorite characters.

I seen it as a recommendation on my Hulu account, so I figured "eh, it looks pretty good, I'll give it a try.." Well, boy oh boy, I LOVE Devils' Line!! I watched it ALL in just a few hours, but I am kinda regretting that I didn't pace myself some more!! D': I am gonna try my best to get the manga and DVD set of it since I loved it so well...to be honest after I finished watching Tokyo Ghoul I was having a hard time finding something that was similar to it that I liked so well, but then after finding D.L. I am just so hooked!! PLEASE let there be a season 2!! Devils' Line has so much potential to just leave it at that, so I am really hoping that they make more!!

I'm not a fan of dark fantasy and vampire anime or shows similar to this, so I holded off watching it until I couldn't think of anything else to watch since I really don't like these types of shows. But suprising it was really good this is actually my first dark fantasy/vampire show that I actually like. I would recommend that you give it a try and watch the first couple of episodes before you decide if you like it or not even if you don't like these types of shows give it a try.

This show deserves better ratings. I watch top notch anime like Your Name and Kaguya Sama Love is War. And yes I think this show is very good. It's a must watch for a romance lover and dark fantasy lover. Also when this show ends, it doesn't quite leave you at a cliffhanger which I love. (I hate cliffhangers) Anzai and Ysukasa finally get to be together at the end. A very heart warming romance tale with many dark scenes ofcourse because it's based on vampires. You'll be satisfied and you won't regret watching this.

I loved the story line. So many tangents and characters to address in the last few episodes. I can only hope they bring this to a close in season 2 or find enough material to continue on for a few more seasons.

A wonderful anime that has not driven the romance to the top! The action was good and the story was understandable and yes I wish like my previous speakers before me a 2nd season
