Carrie scurries through Kohat and gets into a truck. She writes a note on a paper and asks the driver to take her to Bagram.
Zabel and President Hayes meet the Pak ambassador and demand Jalal Haqqani, the diplomat says the Khyber area is too large and Pak will defend itself. Wellington takes the man aside and asks for a show of good faith, release the CIA team in Kohat. He agrees to help.
Jalal is happy Pakistan has backed him and chats with Balach. Jalal wants to attack an American target.
Carrie makes it to Bagram, at the Blackhawk Hangar. She enters and sees a tech. She shows him the transcript she wrote. He explains the helo had a mechanical failure and crashed. She calls Saul to give him the bad news about the recorder and asks him to talk to the Russsians, he agrees but also tells her to turn herself in. Carrie gets back in the truck.
Mike tells Jenna to find Carrie.
Saul meets the Russian ambassador Viktor Makarov. He is surprised Gromov and Carrie we're together in Pak, Saul needs the flight recorder to prove what happened to defuse the tension.
Carrie starts looking for Gromov in Kabul. She finds his apartment cleaned out. She struggles thinking of a next move.
Viktor reports no one has heard of the flight recorder, Saul wants to know what is the price? Viktor tells him Moscow has what it wants.
Carrie is arrested at gunpoint, it's Gromov's men. Gromov says the price for the recorder is the name of a high level US spy in the Kremlin. Carrie knows Saul won't give up his asset but Gromov tells her to figure it out.
Jalal trains his troops, he wants a suicide bomber to drive a car at the US along the border.
Carrie and Saul talk, he is at wit's end with the Russian stonewalling. Carrie gives her driver a hug and leaves the truck. She disposes her phone and walks to the US Embassy. Mike announces the Kohat team is released to applause. Mike then sends Carrie to an interrogation room.
An old Mercedes is loaded with explosives. Balach is forced to become the suicide driver, Jalal is tired of being undermined.
Jenna visits Carrie worried about the Safe House arrests. Carrie says she will be quiet about it. The FBI team visit Carrie. Jenna and Mike watch from the other room.
Director Kroll asks hard questions. Carrie asks for a lawyer explaining she is not a CIA employee but a citizen working for Saul. Carrie is arrested. Jenna is puzzled. Saul tells Wellington about the flight recorder and the Russian stance. Saul will not turn his back on Carrie.
Carrie is escorted out of Kabul by the FBI, the other CIA agents looks at her grim faced.
At the Pak-Afghan border Jenna arrives to witness the turnover of the Kohat group. Balach drives the Mercedes close and records a farewell to his wife. The Pak prisoner bus arrives. Balach arms the bomb and drives forward. He accelerates toward the bus, releases the switch killing the eight man CIA team.
