The description of the death of the Nazi dentist is good.
Fella_shibby23 February 2020
In this episode we get to c that a team of Hunters r killing Nazis n at the same time an FBI agent connects two accident victims with their Nazi links. While the death of the Nazi dentist is talked about in the first episode, it is in this episode that we get to hear the description of his death. Also a brutal n racist killer is helping the Colonel of the Nazi regime by coercing politicians n votes. The scary thing is that this killer is openly moving around with his exposed Nazi swastika tattoo n passing racist comments regarding skin color n elimination of weaker fellas.

The Mourner's Kaddish
Prismark106 March 2020
Hunters is tonally all over the place and the second episode is proof of this.

It starts off in a concentration camp with a group Jewish prisoners playing Wagner to the camp commander. When they suddenly switch into Hava Nagila they are shot dead one by one.

It then switches into a stylised bar mitzvah scene as Meyer Offerman introduces his team of vigilantes. The novice Jonah is the codebreaker because of his ability to decipher messages.

Meyer targets the Pied Piper of Buchenwald. The police are still investigating the background of the previous victim, Gretel. It brings one policeman's family into contact with Travis Leich, very much the go to enforcer for the neo Nazis.

It is Travis who gives a chilling speech that resonated with me as he talks to the mother of a child with a peanut allergy. How much society would be better off if the weak were weeded out.

Apart from tonal inconsistencies, you also have stupid scenes where Jonah is left alone with someone in his first outing which leads to mistakes. Very careless of Meyer.

Thrilling

4 out of 5 stars.

The episode continues with a strong script and characters. Logan Lermans character meets the team in a stylized direction. The story continues to be strong.

Fun, But Cheesy
HalfAZombie15 March 2020
The action and premise of this episode are exciting and mostly fun, but some of the dialogue is so cheesily written that it was humanly impossible to deliver without sounding insincere. Delivered like an homage to every grindhouse film the 70's made, its talented cast manages to make it entertaining in spite of itself. Hopefully this doesn't wear out in later episodes!

You Hear The Ringing????
wandernn1-81-68327418 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Alright so picking this up again a few weeks after watching the Pilot. The Pilot did not encourage me to binge watch this AT ALL, but we'll see what EP2 does for me....

We begin here to flashback on concentration camp life. They have a music group in the camp. Hahaha, they start playing some Hava Nagila, and the camp officer he doesn't like that one bit!!!! He starts shooting them in the head one by one as he orders them to STOP!! Well they don't listen and they all get shot.

+1 Star for the opening sequence, very attention getting.....

So then, the first meeting of the TEAM since adding JONAH to it in EP1.

Hahaha. Then we're back to seeing BIFF!!! IN A TV INTERVIEW!!! Priceless.

So Pacino gives the TEAM a briefing. At the end of this, he uses the term 'Come on Down', just like they use it on THE PRICE IS RIGHT. Okay, I like that, clever. Using a line from a show that started in 1972 for a show set in 1977!! Nice one.

+1 Star for a clever line. Little things impress me.

Haha. Lonny Flash is a funny character as well. And the 'JEWTASTIC' 'HUNTERS ' COMMERCIAL THAT JONAH sees in his head. Very funny.

+1 Star for Jonah's commercial in his head. The CODEBREAKER....haha

We also have Agent Morris continuing to follow leads on her CASE. Agent MORRIS of course uses the 'Can I use your bathroom??' line as a fake line to get some time to search your house. Hey Cops have been doing that for that long eh?? Haha

Then THE COLONEL she walks in and takes some pics of US SENATOR . Some compromising photographs indeed!!!

But then the TEAM, launches their plan to confront KARL HOLSTEDDER!! They catch the wealthy HOLSTEDDER all wealthy and alone playing PIANO in his mansion. They also find a BROADCASTING STATION in a secret room in HOLSTEDDER'S mansion. MEIER plays some LONG TALL SALLY for HOLSTEDDER!!!! And of course, Jonah almost blows the whole operation and gets himself killed at the same time. MEIER has to save JONAH'S BEHIND once again, and also EXPLAIN again to JONAH, the purpose of it all.

Oh and we find out MILLIE is also carrying on a gay relationship? Very odd for a black woman in the 70's and I see they had to make a point of making that statement here in this show. MILLIE'S girlfriend's name is MARIA! We almost get to see some HAWT girl on girl action!!! But nope, no dice on that one.

-1 Star for not showing the GIRL ON GIRL action!!!

So then we have TRAVIS, doing his handiwork with a black family. And why is Jonah hearing the same ringing in his ears that HOLSTEDDER CLAIMED to be hearing??? I was confused on that one...

Take 2
jmerry-8232916 March 2020
Is this the same writer and director from episode 1. Terrible attempt of a tarrentino type story. I think jonah's vomit scene was inspired by the reading of the script....great performance.

Too much political agenda not enough good story
tallsingle1 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Did they have to rewrite the Hansel and greek nursery rhyme to be a hitler youth anti Semitic story?

Do all the good FBI agents have to be black? Or gay? Or both?

Why is every whites male single mindedly evil or stupid?

The characters are caricatures. Extremes and stereotypes. This has moments of promise, but overall it is too forced, pushing an extreme agenda which deter from the very important story of the Holocaust.

There are better uses of your tv watching time.
