This is the sixth collaboration between writer-producer/directorial consultant Sam Borowski and actor Daniel Roebuck.
Three of the key figures involved - actress Sara Harman, actress/associate producer Sarah Teed and director Taylor Salotti - are all students in Sam Borowski's 'SO YOU WANT TO BE AN ACTOR' class.
One of the original actors playing the character of Young Thomas decided to leave the production just hours before his call time. With less than two hours to go, associate producer Beth Clausnitzer brought producer Sam Borowski and director Taylor Salotti a number of candidates, one of whom resembled a young Daniel Roebuck, but who had a paltry amount of experience, Frederick Buckenmeyer IV, who the crew affectionately called "Buck." Buck shot a small dialogue scene and an MOS scene that morning and then learned his lines for a heavy dialogue scene the next day, working furiously with cast mate Sarah Teed and producer Sam Borowski and wowed his fellow cast and crew with his performance. His performance quickly became the stuff of legend in the Lehigh Valley.
This movie was filmed around Bethlehem, Pa and all around the Lehigh Valley and there were a number of people from the feature film, Getting Grace, also involved with In This Moment, not the least of which was actor Daniel Roebuck. Dan put producer Sam Borowski on to what the latter dubbed, "The Bethlehem Three," of Bill Hartin, Ann Knerr and Beth Clausnitzer. They came aboard as Associate Producers and helped arrange location, cast extras and even find wonderful craft service.
The short film is based on the short story, "A Day at Greyfield Arboretum," written by Myra Dell Harman, the sister of lead actress Sara Harman. Sam Borowski adapted the short story into the script, "In This Moment," while putting his spin on it.
