It's been a busy old season for Barcelona-based traumatologist Dr. Cugat. We're only in January, and already the Catalan doctor has seen three City players: Mendy, Stones, and now Jesus.
The elusive and unprecedented quadruple is still on the cards for Manchester City, but no club in English football has ever won it all. Ironically, it's City's fierce rivals, Manchester United, who've came the closest, winning the treble in 1999.
When Dr. Cugat says "Little by Little," we're just assuming he's referring to Jesus' recovery, not naming his favourite Oasis song. That would be a little insensitive.
Sergio Agüero loves playing against the Toon, and today was no exception, bagging a hat trick in the process and maintaining City's march to Premier League glory. Reports had been circulating about Agüero's future, especially with the anticipated news that Alexis Sanchez was about to join City; however, the prolific striker did what he does best and put Newcastle to the sword.
The Magpies did pull a goal back in the second half, but the result was never really in doubt. However, what may trouble City is the absence of that clean sheet. The Blues have now conceded in seven of their last eight home matches, after keeping three clean sheets in the previous four games.
