Sex & Nudity

  • Several ladies seen in bikinis at a pool party. Very mild.
  • Implied sex not shown however two nude people lay undercovers. No nudity.

Violence & Gore

  • One of the more violent episodes of Better Call Saul but not the bloodiest or most gruesome.
  • Blood-spatters onto Lalo's shirt which stains it throughout the rest of the episode.
  • A man throws a pan of boiling oil on another man's face to defend himself. We see the man scream in pain as he is knocked to the ground. All happens very quickly - there is no lingering emphasis on the infliction of pain/injury.
  • Multiple people are seen lying dead with gunshot wounds. Small amount of blood. Little injury detail - dark lighting also obscures.
  • Violent for Better Call Saul but nothing compared Breaking Bad(the show this is a spin-off from) or Fargo(another darkly comedic crime drama series starring Bob Odenkirk).
  • Not as violent as Talk or Bagman or nearly as bloody as Something Beautiful but some semi strong violence.
  • Lalo picks a gun up from a dead body with a bloody bullet hole in it and blood drooling from the mouth.

Profanity

  • Occasional uses of shit.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Scenes of drinking in two scenes. Very mild - nothing irresponsible.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Rated TV-MA for some violent content.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Lalo shoots one of the assassins in the head. We see blood splatter on the window behind the assailant rather than the impact of the bullet into the man's head. Again, the blood is shrouded in darkness - reducing it's impact, but it's still visible.
  • Lalo slowly pulls off a man's mask, which has melted onto his face. This pulls off some of the man's skin and the man screams in pain. Strongest moment of violence/gore in the episode as there is a grisly focus on injury detail here, though bloodless.
  • A 17 year old is shot through the back and his blood sprays onto another man. The lighting is dark but it's still clear.
  • Lalo is shot in the leg.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scene in Lalos home is quite intense
