Love makes you do crazy things

Warning: Spoilers
A few comments here get bent over a main character being gay, and that he's not a caricatur with a boa and feathers out of their...

It's just as overreacting like the woman Nolan rescued, and maybe just like her a form of reflecting unknown or unanswered feelings. These people also need help with coping with the reality of it al.

The Valentine's Day
claudio_carvalho1 November 2021
On Valentine's Day, Sgt. Grey says that it is the most busy and dangerous day of the year for the Police Department since there are many heartbroken people on the streets with unbalanced behavior. He also informs that Bradford has taken one day off. While attending a dispatch call with Bishop, Nolan saves a woman called Denise from electric shock in a car crash and she has a crush on him. Bradford visits Isabel is a rehab clinic and sees that is clean and beautiful. But soon they realize that they need to split since Bradford will never fully trust her again and she deserves a fresh start to stay sober. Their past would certainly jeopardize her recovery. Lopez and West meet a victim of assault in the hospital called Kevin Scott suffering from the early stage of dementia, but she suspects of the inconsistencies of his statement.

"Heartbreak" is an episode of "The Rookie" with good storylines. The meeting of Tim and Isabel is the most dramatic and touching. The action is with Lucy and West segment. The problematic situation of Nolan and Denise is also a good segment. My vote is eight.

Gay character done well
mackaiwen14 February 2019
"gayness out of nowhere" So what if there were no signs of him being gay before? There were also no signs of him being straight. His sexuality had never been referenced, as it was not yet important. Stop assuming everyone is straight if characters being "suddenly gay" upsets you. A television character does not always have to be excessively flamboyant to be gay. This character development was very realistic, tasteful, and appropriate.

Great Valentine's Day episode.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode demonstrated the many way people love others: stepson loving his stepmom, the tragedy of grief and lost love (Denise and her Marine husband and Tim and Isabel), love between coworkers and friends (love doesn't have to mean sex) and love between men and women and between men and men ( which has caused some strong feelings). This was the best Valentine's Day show because it's about showing love! It was tastefully done and the writers explored all the ways humans care for each other. I also noticed, not once was a gun fired!

Not your typical saccharin Valentine episode. Very dynamic, real and wholly entertaining!

Gayness our of nowhere
jbistiz13 February 2019
There was never any signs up until this episode that Jackson was gay. I'm not trying to be homophobic, it just feels like it came out of nowhere. It seems like Titus (Actor playing Jackson) is just gonna be a stereotyped to play gay characters for the rest of his career, as this is the second show I've watched him in playing a gay character, previously turning a straight character into a gay character for its final season. I'm just not a big fan of stuff coming out of blue.
