- Women on the Run. Vera has lived a wonderful life with Jindrich, and she is fully determined to fulfill his last wish - running a marathon! The emancipated and spirited mother of three daughters doesn't think that doing so will be a problem. She and her daughters will split up the route into four parts, and they'll overcome the over 42-kilometer-long challenge as a family relay team. Of course, the fact that neither of them has ever ran even a meter poses no problem. There's three months left until the start, and trainer Vojta has prepared a great fitness plan. All that's left to do is to begin training. The daughters aren't rushing to start running, however. They're dealing with a different sort of problems altogether. The oldest Marcela is facing the trouble that her three sons get into daily, and on top of that, their father Karel hasn't, or hasn't wanted to, ask her to marry him for over twenty years. The middle sister Bára wants a child but she hasn't chased down the right father for it yet. Her biological clock is ringing the alarm, and Bara herself keeps satirically mentioning that the only thing left to do is to put on a stocking and rob a sperm bank. The youngest Kacka does have a man but he has one significant catch - a wife. The young and in-love Kacka clings to the relationship with no future with the persistence of a lost marathon runner, as the love she feels is hopelessly blind for the time being. It is clear that the daughters have different priorities than training for a marathon. Thus, peculiar mom Vera must gather all her strength to help her family relay team overcome a number of obstacles and comedic complications, and reach the starting line of Jindrich's dream marathon. What applies to running applies to life as well. It's important to persevere and not give up when the finish line is just beyond reach...
