Chris and Luca are atop a building monitoring the street below ahead of a possible jewelry heist. At one point Luca raises his HK MP5 sub-machine gun to look through the Aimpoint red dot sight to gain a closer view of the street. Aimpoint red dot sights offer no magnification and thus, looking through the sight would not enhance his view of the street any better than the naked eye. Additionally, Luca's finger is on the trigger which violates one of the four basic gun safety rules and a rookie mistake that a seasoned SWAT member would never make.
