This episode features yet another tragedy associated with Severide and that's getting old now. What Sev is suffering in this episode is really a weak story line.
The drama of the fires and rescues is enough to carry the show. All the lighter stuff is carried by the supporting characters -- Hermann, Mouch, Cruz -- and the dark stuff by Case and Sev and, well, too much repetition of any plot line by the same characters is a signal of a series in decline.
