Luciana Herrera's "Donde Nace el Agua" touched on issues that I have never seen tackled in Mexican Cinema and it did so while avoiding any of the over-played cliches that often plague Mexican films.
This film is truly breathtaking and I hope it inspires other Mexican filmmakers to ignore the the status quo of sexualized narco telenovelas and start redefining the genre.
If you haven't seen this short film, you are missing out.
