One of the larger challenges of executing Episode 205 was that the song and the episode were running over their time limit. However, the creative team found the perfect places to make cuts in the song that not only made them land within their time frame, but also made the song and episode even stronger.
The Thespedorians' name is a play on the word "thespian," while Brovinian is a play on the word "bro," to highlight an archetypical high school conflict between drama students and jocks.
The Thespedorians were modeled after praying mantises, while the Brovinians were modeled after armadillos.
