Mr. Underwood is back in the house
Horst_In_Translation10 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
"Let Me Be Frank" is a 3-minute live action short film that premiered during the holidays 2018 and has racked up almost 10 million views in half a month now since then. First of all, it needs to be said very neutrally that Kevin Spacey returns as Frank Underwood from House of Cards here. The last/final season of the show his character had been killed off after there were talks about Spacey making sexual use of a young man that was not entirely what the other guy wanted. Well, obviously with the whole "time's up" and "me too" debate and movement, consequences would be harsh and maybe career threatening for Spacey just like other actors suffered from it, not just Weinstein, but also the likes of renowned felles like Louis C.K., Jefrey Tambor and even Dustin Hoffman. So Spacey got his share too. But lets be honest, regardless of what he did he is one hell of an actor and there is a reason he is a two-time Academy Award winner, even if these triumphs are several years back already. He also scored the biggest glories for House of Cards, so I find it very disrespectful what they did with him on that show. I hope there can be some kind of spin-off, anything to bring him back, even if it will be a huge challenge to make it work story-wise. I am all for it too. I can see why some find this short movie embarrassing, but I thought it was another three minutes of very fine acting with some interesting references about Spacey's own life and a parallel to his character's. If you love House of Cards, then this is a must-see really. Maybe all we get from the character. By the way Spacey turns 60 this year. I hope he can have a better year again and will succeed with a return. And lets always remember. He is not a convicted criminal. There were no legal proceedings. Maybe the idea to get public with his homosexual back then wasn't the greatest idea, but yeah, we should focus away from his personal issues and admire him for his talent when it comes to the art of acting and performing. For me no hesitation, this short gets a thumbs-up. Go watch it.

The video which stopped the irational hysteria of #MeToo movement in the USA
helgis-6312027 May 2019
The video may not save Spacey. It was all too little, too unclear and above all... too late. But it might have helped Woody Allen, Michael Jackson, Geoffrey Rush and who knows whom else ;) The idea is ballsy and the writing is brilliant. The infamous ending of HOC is cancelled to make the series rewatchable again. On the other hand acting like playing a musical instrument needs practice and that's something Kevin was/is clearly lacking ;)

Even if you hate Kevin Spacey, you have to admit that he is a brilliant actor and that House of Cards is nothing without him.

Apparently he was the only one acting in HoC
nomansalhab26 April 2019
While the ratings on IMDb of the episodes of the first five seasons of HoC didn't get below 8.0 The ratings of the episodes of the last one never got above 4.6! I know Kevin Spacey is a great actor but this so much to take Netflix really messed up a great show and ruined the ending of a great story

let him be frank

Let him be Frank, because he's the only one. having house of cards without Kevin like having a body without the main organs, they just ruined the show by kicking him out. the should've been keep him or ended the show at the fifth season

What is this crap?
etcinephile13 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Kevin Spacey trying to show his redemption to the film industry and Hollywood ain't a good idea to begin with. I mean, personally I've never seen much of his work but I know the guy's a piece of dookie. The way his "script" is formatted is like the devil had written it himself and it's really sickening to me knowing Spacey came up with this "story" to say he's NOT sorry.

Let Him Be Silent
vlevensonnd-8724818 August 2021
Spoken like a true predator. This is truly dark and creepy, just like the man he truly seems to be. If this didn't get as much negative publicity like it has, I would have never been curious enough to watch it. I heard that there were over thirty people that came forward and accused him. How many does it take to convince others of another's guilt? Sometimes the accused are indeed guilty and should have a little shame and remain silent.

Could Not Be More META!

Kevin Spacey is a tour-de-force, writing, acting, directing, and producing this edge of your seat thriller set in the world of the Netflix hit "House of Cards" obliterating the lines between life and fiction. This is a plot twist per second phenomena that is only 3mins but feels so much longer. Spacey's performance will send shockwaves from Nantucket to LA.

Let Me Have My Frankfurter
developmentczar7 November 2021
Mr. Spacey's affection for young frankfurters comes through brilliantly in this promo piece. You can see it in his eyes, in the way he sips his java, the way he manhandles his jewelry. Mr. Spacey wants back into the game. But parents just want to keep their young sons safe. I smell a new series; House of Horrors.

This guy is EVIL
alistairc_20003 January 2019
Fact or Fiction? This guy shows the true nature of horror. It is a weird amalgamation of fictional horror and factual horror from a fallen idol. Like lots of stars before him his past indiscretions have caught up with him and he is the epitome of a modern day pariah. It is like a sexual predator blaming his victims for his misdemeanour's. Looking at his face is like looking into the void. It is the face of true evil.

Spacey continues to be extremely good at acting he portrays his most famous role with aplomb. Where is the line between fact and fiction?

This is like Gary Glitter doing a musical about his child rape victims. He probably would think about it but he is in Jail for the next 16 years, no longer the leader of the pack now all is revealed that he is a disgrace to the human race.

Similarly we watch this harpy feeding off the dead flesh of his most famous character actor role. Spacey was dethroned at the height of his success proving that in life even the most Teflon of actors eventually has to pay the ferryman.

I give it 10 out of 10 for sheer horror. Though I could equally give it zero out of 10 for his vain attempt to curry sympathy and get back into the public eye.

Frankly disturbing.
theglassmonty15 November 2019
Yeah sure he's a good actor, a great actor even. However he is a bad human, a terrible human even.

Lessons that won't be learned for a long time, if ever.

Nutjob.

Still one of my favorite actors
imdb-64612 April 2019
I think this short movie was excellent. And I hope that soon he will start acting again, because he is still one of my favorite actors.

And by the way, I think this whole metoo thing is totally overrated.

Someone wants you dead Francis. Reality exceeds fiction. I miss Frank Underwood, but I must admit that Clair did a fantastic job.

Very Odd
sbsieber2 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Spacey seems to be trying to remind everyone of what a dazzling actor he is and what we have been missing 'lo these many months. He even says "miss me?" at one point. He stays in his House of Cards character throughout the video, which seems a lot longer than just three minutes as he meanders ad nauseum, by repeating his mantra in various ways - basically saying, "I didn't do anything wrong, and if I did it wasn't that bad, and I'm just a lovable reprobate, and ya'll miss me dontcha?" The he hints that he could return to his role in the series because no one actually saw his dead body. I have never watched the show so I don't know if this is particularly important, but it seems to be he's seriously thinking he can convince people to give him a comeback. Very odd indeed.

Shades of Jonathan King
fixxlevy-943347 January 2019
Delusional character who should have kept his head down instead of this. Has not done himself any favours and is probably viewed in an even more creepy light than before.
