- Join Finn and his dragon Haldor (both voiced by Kj Schrock) as they fly through the air on a one-of-the-kind adventure with classic bedtime stories along the way. This time, Finn and Haldor enjoy the incredible classic tale "The Book of Dragons".
- The opening segment of this movie, which is in a similar format as some other WowNow Entertainment features like A Frozen Christmas (2016) series, Down on the Farm (2017) and Easter Bunny Adventure (2017), begins with Finn riding on his flying, talking dragon Haldor, through the land after their another successful adventure on defeating the ogre once and for all. Haldor asks Finn for the another adventure destination, which is in a magical land far away, and he also loves going on their adventures together with Finn. He recognized the land they're going can take a long time, and Finn knows the tale. The tale which is a fantastic story with a lesson to be learned to the audience. Haldor agrees with Finn about the tale. Finn tells the audience that the tale is about to begin.
For the rest of the movie's running time, which is 4 hours and 4 minutes (4 hours, 3 minutes and 55 seconds), the unknown female narrator talks about the HUGE tale, with the shots of various environments around the mythical realms (with the glowing magic around most of them, like the snowy-themed one and the Japanese-themed house in the isle; also featuring the occasional shots of Finn and Haldor, mainly from the latter, and the shot of both of them together). The random mythical environment loop goes on as the narrator is continuing the tale, without any breaks at all. When it reaches the very end, the narrator ends the story with "and he hasn't got the door open yet...", as the environment fades to black without any closing credits at all.
