For Club Penguin's 3rd anniversary - Oct. 24, 2008 - the main town was redecorated to resemble New York City's Times Square, as a reference to the fact that a large Club Penguin-themed party was being held there on that day. The 3rd anniversary cake that appeared in the Coffee Shop was recreated in real life for the event.
