Joe... meet Dexter Morgan!
MegaMaexn3 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
OMG I actually hadn't realised until this episode that Joe is so much like Dexter Morgan, in the same kind of creepy way... The innocent behaviour, the voice over and the.... well you know what I mean once you've seen the episode. Not sure he is fighting the same cause, but it certainly keeps me intrigued and watching...

Fairly good episodes, this episode can tell.

You Season 2 Episode 2

Review : In reviewing this episode, I would like to say that this episode is a strange kind of beauty. I can't call the episode an episode, it's a little better than that. There are some element meetings in the episode, some elements are shown very well. The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes. The rest of the things I discussed below about this episode.

Acting : All the actors and actresses have performed well enough and perfectly.

Direction : The director has done his job well enough.

Story and Dialogue : This episode story is kind of weirdly beautiful. Somewhere it will be very boring and somewhere it will be very interesting. Somewhere it will look very sweet and somewhere it will be very thrilling. The mystery is that this episode is not like that. The storytellers wrote the story well enough and intelligently but there were some element meetings in the story. Good and fit and beautiful dialogue has been done in the episode.

Soundtrack and Background score : Like every episode of the previous season and the first episode of this season, no soundtrack was used in this episode. The background score is really good and fits well with each scene.

Cinematography and Editing : The cinematographer has done a pretty good job. All editors have done a pretty good job.

Other Departments : Lighting, vfx, location and sound designing are all good enough.

Overall Episode : Judging by all the good and bad aspects I gave this episode eight stars out of ten stars.

Thanks so much for reading my review.

Good but not great
conniedavid17 January 2020
I, unlike a few others I have seen in reviews, do like Love as a character. I like her as an actress too, she was also great in The Haunting of Hill House. I do enjoy the complexity of the characters and how "evil" is not so black and white. It's normally hard to root for a sociopathic and psychopathic character but with this show, I often find myself empathizing with Joe and sometimes even rooting for him.

I do find one thing is true in all of these reviews I am reading. This show is starting to feel very much like it is trying to be Dexter. In this episode specifically, the dinner scene was oddily familiar not only from Dexter's opening theme, but also how Dexter used to kill his victims. If you don't understand what I am saying, watch the episode. You will get it right away.

I am only now finished the second episode of the second season so I can't speak to how the rest of the season will be yet, but this episode specifically was good and kept me watching (and I have pretty bad ADHD) without losing interest once. However, it wasn't amazing. It wasn't brilliant. But I can see how it's just laying the foundation for the rest of the season. Looking forward to seeing what 'You' has in store.

Very unlike events
luisfal11 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So, the guy has the tip of his finger cut off, has a microsurgery that lasts about 6 hours, has time to dismember and grind a whole body and is still in time for dinner. Also, how could he carry the 300 pound monster and put it in his trunk being weak and hurt? And how could he afford the surgery if he's 50k short? Can anyone believe that he would have a free surgery just by mentioning the name of the Comedian?

And so on...
bombersflyup7 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Just doing the same thing over again are we? With the cage in a storage locker, the box in the wall and meeting the three friends. The weakest episode thus far and partly weird. Seeing and talking to Beck in his head's weak filler, instead of something interesting currently happening.

Warning: Spoilers
I like the whole series but i didn't like this specific scene where he cuts the man into pieces. There was no need for that scene. Just kill the guy. No need to be that brutal... i just couldn't watch...i had to close my eyes

Just Friends For Now
vivianla20 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Joe and Love run into each other at the fish market. Love goes for it and gives him a kiss and Joe says mmph. They kiss again. Love invites Joe to have lunch with her friends.

Behind the store, Joe is taking care of trash when a man named Jasper comes up to him asking him if he is Will. Joe gives him 3000 dollars but Jasper, who acts polite, all of a sudden grabs a small knife and Joe's hand. He places Joe's hand down firmly then cuts off his pinkie. He nicely asks Joe to put his finger in the plastic baggie. He will return Joe his finger when he gets the rest of the money.

Delilah tells Joe in the laundry how she got harassed 8 years ago when she was 17 by Henderson. She was a stripper, underage and not white. So no one cared. She does not feel bad for writing about celebrities because of this experience.
