When discussing his fake surname with Ray Quinn, Joe refers to Bruno Bettelheim's book, "The Uses of Enchantment," which analyses fairy tales in terms of how they are used by children to deal with their anxieties and problems. In 1991, however, this book was found to have been largely plagiarized from Dr. Julius E. Heuscher's 1963 book "A Psychiatric Study of Fairy Tales."
