True Crime (1999)
What in the world?
I saw this movie about two months ago and I'm still trying to figure out what in the world was going on. First of all I wish Clint would keep all his clothes on. This is supposed to be a thriller, not a horror film. Why in the world he felt compelled to partially disrobe at his age I'll never know, but it is painful to see. I also thought there was a peculiar chemistry between himself and his real life daughter who appears as his daughter in the film. The real life mother of the little girl who plays the daughter, Frances Fischer, is also in the movie. She is Clint's ex-girlfriend before his present wife. Confused yet? I honestly think Frances Fischer and James Woods were the only people in the film who could act. It was just a disjointed, weird film. I am sorry I paid good money to see it.
Good Will Hunting (1997)
If I hear the word *uck one more time!
If you are crazy about the word *uck, you will love this movie because that is predominantly going to be all that you will hear. Oh, and the scene with Minnie Driver in the bar giving her blow job joke is Oscar material. Puh-leeze!
Analyze This (1999)
Laughed So Hard I Cried
I can't remember the last time I saw a comedy in a movie theatre where I laughed so hard I cried. That alone is worth the price of admission. But I must say that I thought that whoever wrote this movie doesn't think too highly of women. Every single reference to a woman was a put down. If I was a woman living in New York I'd really have an ax to grind. New York women are not portrayed in a very positive light.
