Helter Skelter (2004)
Another Lame TV Movie
I actually looked forward to this film, but after viewing it, I realized I wasted my time. The original TV movie was much better. In that one, the characters were totally believable. In this one it was pathetic. It's obvious that TV execs are spinning their wheels trying to come up with a decent film. CBS lost out on this one. It was boring. The case was too complicated to fit in a two hour time slot. So much was left out. The commercials were better. Re-makes are the worst. Films such as this one give reason why most people opt for cable or satellite nowadays. I'm sure the ratings on this one will be low and may it never be seen again. Anyone who reads this will be better served watching the original. Or better yet, read the book.

Super Sappy Film
This was a horribly, hard film to watch. It was so lame, so weak, so unrealistic that it was almost laughable. I, honestly, can't imagine anyone enjoying this stuff. The reason I tuned in was because of the TV trailers that was shown. That was the only good thing about it. If this is the best the networks can do they might as well hang it up. True, I know it's "Hollywood", but come on. Please, if you really liked this garbage, I'd like to know what it was that made it so redeemable. I guess the performers in the film didn't have anything else of substance to work in. Ewwwwwwwwwwww!! And I thought the film, "Come On, Get Happy: The Partridge Family Story" was bad. This makes that one look like an Emmy award winner. I hope the advertisers got their money's worth!!
Band of Brothers (2001)
TV at It's Best
Television just doesn't get any better than this!! Superb from start to finish. The acting and cinematography is simply grand. You felt that you were with Easy Company every step of the way. I personally don't see how this mini-series can be topped.
Driven (2001)
Puleeease
"Driven" had all the promises of a good racing movie until Joe Tanto and Jimmy Blye going racing two CART cars through the streets of downtown Chicago following Jimmy's disappointment over losing his girl to a rival. From that point on it was hard to take the film seriously.
Come On, Get Happy: The Partridge Family Story (1999)
This film is best left unseen!
This was perhaps the worst TV movie to come down the pike in recent years. To me, most TV films leave something to be desired, but this one is THE worst. The Partridge Family was too complex to be shown in two hours. What was seen, was weak and left the viewer feeling as though their time was wasted. There were too many story lines. If one avenue of thought were pursued then the film might have had a little going for it. Was it a story of Danny Bonaduce? A story on David Cassidy's pursuit of a singing career, perhaps? Maybe the Partridge Family in general? I guess the most corny and worthless sequence in the whole film was the meeting between the Partridge Family and the Brady Bunch. Come on, who thought up this idiotic scene. It was so out of context with the rest of the film. Hopefully, this film will never be seen again. The money spent to make this film was wasted and so was the viewers time.
