Special Unit 2 (2001)
Men in Black comes to TV?
I was very excited about this show. I expected a great new show along the lines of Men in Black, X-Files, and Kolchak: The Night Stalker. I was very disappointed.
LOUD ROCK MUSIC plays as filler each time our hero gets into his phallusmobile. The story plods along so slowly that I guess the music is there to wake us up that a scene is changing.
This show could be so much more, but until the producers stop catering to the pubescent generation, it will fall aside as so many other great shows have that did not properly target their audience demographic.
I changed the channel about half way through the show, during a LOUD ROCK MUSIC filler scene.
I give it a 2 out of 10 for the first episode. And an 8 out of 10 for lost opportunity.
Flight of the Doves (1971)
An adventure
I saw this movie about 25 years ago, and the title has stuck with me all these years. The movie must have impressed me deeply. I remember two children fleeing, attempting to get to a relative some distance away. I was around 9 when I saw the movie, so I can only say it would probably appeal to a younger audience.
Boston Common (1996)
If there is one show I would love to see return, this is it.
Boston Common may be my favorite situation comedy ever. I never missed an episode. I still watch it, in rerun, on USA. It's on every weekday at 10:00 AM. It's hard to believe I can watch the same episodes over and over, and still laugh at all the same spots. Anthony Clark, who plays Boyd, has a special talent for comedy. His antics while getting into, and out of trouble, leave me in stitches. Every actor in this show was made for their part. I can't express how disappointed I was when the show was cancelled. If there is one show I would love to see return, this is it.
