The Night of the Hunter (1955)

An American Film Classic!

I first saw this outstanding motion picture while living in the Philippines during the mid 1950's. Since there was no T.V. where I lived we went to the movies nightly in anticipation of what were were about to view. This movie stands alone in my memory of classic black/white suspense films.Interestingly, I have seen it many times since, with old and young alike, and everyone considers it to be one of the best. The Library of Congress' Film Institute includes this movie as one of the top 10 American Movies. That's incredible and deserving at the same time. Most directors today use the techniques perfected by Laughton in the movie, such as silhouettes, night panoramas, eerie etherial landscapes, and upshots to make the figures larger than life.DON'T MISS THIS FILM!

A Guide for the Married Man (1967)

if this movie were re-released it would have top billing and full houses across the nation. truly, one of the great comedies and pot-pourri of cast every gathered. not a dull moment and poignant at the same time

acknlowedging the individual from pine grove, ca, who is an agnostic, this has absolutely nothing to do with the content, intent, or production of this film that broke all barriers regarding race and blacks in leading roles. additionally, this film was banned in certain southern theaters because of it's theme. most directors and actors today refer to this film as a bellweather production. it has been included as one of the best american films and is so registered in the library of congress' archives.
