From Beyond (1986)
This Lovecraft flick rocks!
"From Beyond" can get the great scare out of you in this horror flick from celebrated horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. Jeffrey Combs from the Re-Animator fame and other Lovecraft films is pretty cool (and very scary) as the young scientist who was working for his employer (who is very perverted) on a project that has frightening demensions (like seeing fishlike creatures flying in the attic) whom was decapitated from that machine. Sometimes the movie is very boring but it gets to the good parts, MORE SCARIER PARTS and VERY GRUESOME! (like seeing a person eating brains, bugs feeds in human flesh, etc.) I thought this ending when Combs and his beautiful shrink will get rid of the machine and blow the house up and lived happily ever after....BUT THEY DIDN'T! JUST HER! The ending pretty blows! But the horror flick is cool! This movie should be recommended for those who are fans of H.P. Lovecraft stories.
The Dark Crystal (1982)
The best, wierdest Muppet I have ever seen!!!
I saw "The Dark Crystal" on TV when I was 5 years old on TV, that cool flick by the late Jim Henson came out in 1982 when I was a baby. I saw this movie again two years ago when at the age of 15 on video, I like about "The Dark Crystal" because it is dark, weird, and very scary (including the evil characters) this movie shouldn't be recommended for little kiddies who like the Muppets. And for the first time in the Muppet movie they show the lead character Kira cut the ugly monster's finger and it was bleeding and a old woman's eyeball falls out, etc. THIS MOVIE IS COOL TO WATCH! and how Jim Henson have this good idea to make this fantasy movie. "Dark Crystal" is like a cult favorite to me since the first time I watched it when I was a kid and should be recommended to watch if people who want to see a wierd fantastic Muppet movie and this movie is made from England like the other Muppet movies that the Jim Henson Workshop did. Anyway this movie rules and the Muppets!
Tron (1982)
Best beautiful, breakthrough sci-fi/fantasy movies in the 80's
This cool movie "Tron" came out in 1982 when I was a baby. Now I'm 17 years old and saw this movie two years ago. this is one of the best Disney movies ever made but the movie itself wasn't a BOX-OFFICE hit like other 1982 sci-fi flicks like E.T. and got mixed reviews by sorry a** critics. And you know that this flick broke animation barriers in sci-fi. They should re-release "Tron" in the theaters and it would make big bucks which it didn't 17 years ago. This was the movie that Bruce Boxleitner starred in before he became famous in the sci-fi show (OF COURSE!) in "BABYLON 5". My favorite sci-fi veteran star David Warner rocks as the evil MASTER CONTROL villain (THIS ACTOR HAS GOOD TALENT PLAYING VILLAINS!) and Jeff Bridges was great as the hacker who was zapped in the computer world. So great about this movie is the music.
Fleetwood Mac: The Dance (1997)
Fleetwood Mac rocks!!!
I'm the only 17 year old black girl who loves the supergroup Fleetwood Mac they are cool! I first saw their reunion concert in the summertime 2 years ago on MTV when I hadn't heard of them. That reunion concert was beautiful! The best part of it when of the ending of the concert was the USC Marching Band performing with the group with "TUSK" and "DON'T STOP", a highlight. Fleetwoood Mac The Dance concert changed my life, I started getting their albums (including the mega classic "RUMOURS"), started getting band member Stevie Nicks'albums (she is my most favorite member of Fleetwood Mac and my role model) and talking about them to my friends.
They are my all-time favorite. I saw a full-length version of the concert on public television. When I got "The Dance" CD, they had a greater longer version of the song, "I'm So Afraid". The concert rocks; especially the group. This should be recommended for those who want to SEE Fleetwood Mac together.
Tank Girl (1995)
One of my favorite sci-fi girl power movies ever!!!
First there was Barbarella, second there was Lt.Ellen Ripley, third there was Barb Wire and the last there was Tank Girl, TA-DAH!!! I'm talking about the go-to-war punk girl who wants to have fun and kick some butt! THIS MOVIE ROCKS!!! when I first seen "Tank Girl" which was based on a popular British comic book series,it changed my life! it made me believe that I have girl power and don't take no bull. This movie has everything:it shows scenes from the comic book, real action, and the best part is Tank Girl blowing up stuff and kicking other guys butts! THAT'S COOL!!! Unfortunately, "Tank Girl" wasn't a box-office hit but it was REALLY FUN TO WATCH if girls like me want to see how real girls in sci-fi flicks like this one go to war, get revenge and rock and roll. Lori Petty was so wonderful as the funky title role and Malcolm McDowell (from A Clockwork Orange and Time After Time and such cool flicks) as the supervillain who steals a whole bunch of the world's water supply is a highlight! The best part of the movie is when Tank Girl and Jet Girl does a musical number of the song "Let's Do It" I wish there was a sci-fi musical in the near future, WOULD YOU LIKE THAT? This movie should be recommended to everybody who likes comic books made into movie adaptations...........AND GIRLS WHO LIKE TO SEE GIRL POWER!!!!
Ringmaster (1998)
That Jerry Springer movie BLOWS!!!
The movie "Ringmaster" based on the book which was written by the man himself wasn't as good as I wanted or expected but the fights were good!!! wow?!? The movie was too busy focusing on the dysfunctional mother and daughter Connie and Angel who were in love with one man who she is to marry!! I fought the movie would be focusing more on Jerry Springer and his wildest adventures on the show and off BUT! they were too busy focusing on the guest on his show!!! When I first saw "Ringmaster" in Louisana for a Thanksgiving vacation with my family, the beginning was good and it started to be very stupid! I'm a Jerry Springer fan a die-hard one watch him every time and see a scorned woman attacking her lover's husband, dysfunctional families, food fights, etc. Anyway, don't waste a dime on this movie!!! unfortunately that movie was a box-office bomb,BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! anyway stick with his show and the uncesonsored videos of Springer..........Anyway JERRY SPRINGER ROCKS!!!!!
The Omen (1976)
The most and the best successful horror movie of the 70's!
"The Omen" was one of the best horror movies I EVER,EVER saw! That little Damien has the innocence and the terror in him like the other little brats today. You've never seen Gregory Peck like this in the edge-of-your-seat superflick like you've ever seen him before! I wonder what he would say today when he first did "The Omen" Anyway, this movie's got everything:nanny hangs herself, devil dogs,Damien hitting his mom, priest gets impaled, evil chorus music, etc. THE LIST CAN GO ON AND ON! One of my favorite scenes of "The Omen" is at the drive-in zoo, the baboons start attacking the car while Damien and his mom are in it. The devil dogs attack, they should have a show in FOX: When Satan's Dogs Attack!!! and don't forget about the famous decapitation scene of versatile Brit actor David Warner, it's a classic! THIS MOVIE ROCKS!!!
Time After Time (1979)
It's a wild ride, time travel sci-fi movie ever!
"Time After Time" kept me the edge of my seat since I first saw it. Malcolm McDowell is very cool as the writer H.G. Wells who builds the time traveller. David Warner is so wicked as Jack The Ripper, this is one of the best villainous roles that David Warner had played. Anyway, the two characters are real-life people but NOT the movie itself!!! In this movie well written and directed by Nicholas Meyer (who directed the Star Trek sequels which he let David Warner star as the Klingon ambassasdor in the last sequel with original members). This movie has the sci-fi writer and the infamous serial killer as best friends and one of them escaped in the time machine because the police came and then the suspense-fun had started. One of the funny parts are when McDowell was calling McDonalds 'McDougals' and the coolet part was Jack didn't know what's grass mean. David Warner as Jack The Ripper was the best highlights of his cult favorite flick always! this movie is absolutely recommended. TIME AFTER TIME ROCKS!
Naked Souls (1996)
The worst Pamela Anderson flick ever made!!!
The sci-fi/suspense flick "Naked Souls" was too busy focusing on the naked women including Pamela herself instead of focusing on the sci-fi/suspense and the storyline action. Talented veteran Brit actor David Warner is the most highlight as the dying, sinister mad scientist (again!) who transfer his soul to her genius boyfriend whose soul was totally infected and turn Warner into a serial maniac. An actor like David Warner shouldn't waste his good talents in this piece-of-porno type crap of movie!!!! This movie is like one of the other Playboy videos of Pamela Anderson spotlights, well better stick with her movie "Barb Wire"!
Bebe's Kids (1992)
This movie ROCKS!!! This is the best cartoon movie about mischievous kids terrorizng Funworld amusement park.
"Bebe's Kids" rocks!!! I like the line when the kids say "WE DON'T DIE! WE MULTIPLY!" The comedian Robin Harris died before this movie came out, he was a great comedian! "Bebe's Kids" was supposed to be made as a live-action film which he was supposed to star in it. There are dozen parts I like in that cartoon when the four baddies create trouble in a souvenir shop, the kids gather bunch of kids from the part My favorite was they created a pirate ship and have the other kids' parents to jump out of the deck,THAT WAS COOL! My favorite character was PeeWee,the deep-voiced baby whose diaper has never been changed. This movie is half musical also. I would recommend this movie if you want to see out-of-control kids terrorizing adults and want to have fun, "Bebe's Kids" is the movie! If Robin Harris was still alive,he would like this movie.
Bride of Chucky (1998)
This sequel rocks! it has horror, gore, and romance by Chucky himself! and this time CHUCKY GETS LUCKY!
"Bride Of Chucky" was a very good sequel like all the other "Child's Play" movies. In this fouth installment Chucky for the fourth time in a row was being resurrected by his long-time sweetheart Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) who he stayed with till he got gunned down in the first Child's Play movie. Jennifer Tilly was so great in that looked like a Heavy Metal blonde. Some of my favorite parts was when Chucky snatched a lip earring from that freaky guy, made a tore from his lip squirted blood,Chucky in the playpen,Chucky smoking pot (the first time) and everything! I loved what the creators of the film made up Chucky's bride, her blonde hair, silver of black lipstick, black nails,a wedding dress sporting out with a leather jacket, (I wish they came out a doll like that on merchandise!) In this sequel,in the first time, they show Chucky and his new bride making out trying to make this movie very hot!!! and the terrorizing doll couple fighting for the first time! This movie has a great soundtrack by Rob Zombie, there is a wicked, interesting ending of the movie (I'M NOT GOING TO TELL NOBODY!!) You Chucky fans out there,GO SEE THE MOVIE! This movie rocks! and so does Chucky!
South Park (1997)
South Park is one of my favorite shows!! it's like the Peanuts on acid!!1
South Park rules!! those creators have already made a fortune on this cool show! My favorite character is Cartman, he rocks!! I like the part he said about a girl beats him and said "You get your b**** a** back in the kitchen and make me some pie!" that is so funny. My another favorite character is Kenny because he always gets killed in every episode,my favorite Kenny death scene was being thrown into the microwave and touched by death! I hope this show stays on till the creators gets old till they die!!!! South Park rules!!!
Necronomicon (1993)
One of the best horror anthologies I have ever seen!!
"Necronomicon" is one of the best movie adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft has ever done. it has everything: flying demo bats, long-dead-and-alive people, crazy monks, and of course The Chululu. My favorite part of the story of the film is "The Cold" with my cult favorite versatile British actor David Warner as the OLDER mad doctor who kills people for their spinal fluid, that's the best second anthology of the movie, you should see the ending of it,very awesome! David Warner had done two other movie adaptations of Lovecraft was "Cast A Deadly Spell" and "In The Mouth Of Madness". "Necronomicon" rocks!!!!!!
Aliens (1986)
One of the best second sequel in the Alien Series
"Aliens" is still one of my best favorite movies of all time, this movie made me to become a fan of science fiction.it changed my life! This sequel has everything: the marines, machine guns, suspense and of course girl power!!! Sigourney Weaver still has the girl power performance of Ripley, the survivor from the first Alien movie goes back to where the terror begins and brings the marines to begin the war. There are good moments in the movie where she begin a some kind of mom-and-daughter relationship with a brave little girl named Newt, they make a good mother and daughter! that's why I loved this movie and I like the grand finale of Ripley confronts the Alien Queen with her power loader, which is one of my favorite lines from the movie,"GET AWAY FROM HER YOU B-----!" Sigourney Weaver has the girl power in her! this sci-f sequel should be recommended!
Rock & Rule (1983)
The best sci-fi musical animation I have ever seen!
"Rock And Rule" was my first experience of seeing a sci-fi cartoon very more interesting, the music was great even the whole movie is. I should put this in my top ten list of favorite sci-fi anime flicks on #1 with "Heavy Metal" there all good! This movie rocks.
Beavis and Butt-Head Do America (1996)
Beavis and Butt-Head rocks!
"Beavis and Butt-Head Do America" is one of my favorite cartoon movies ever done! Beavis and Butt-Head makes me wanna laugh till my mom tells me to "shut-up!" They bring their wicked humor from MTV to the big screen make it more interesting! I like Beavis doing is Cornholio act, it's a classic! I like the FBI breaking into their hippie teachers' classroom and SWAT guys punched him in the stomach and trashed his guitar! it had a funny ending and the theme song,a 1970's sound by Issac Hayes. I wish Beavis and Butt-Head do a sequel to their movie.Anyway this movie is the best buddie movies I ever saw is like "Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid gone Heavy Metal"! I give it thumbs up!!!!!!!!1
Heavy Metal (1981)
The greatest rock and roll, erotic, sci-fi/fantasy movie I ever seen! It ROCKS!
I first saw this great awesome movie six years ago. This movie came out when I was born in 1982! This movie has everything -sci-fi, horror, comedy, romance, and of course rock and roll. The soundtrack from the movie rocks. My favorite songs are Open Arms by Journey, the two theme songs by Heavy Metal, All Of You by Don Felder, and the best one is Blue Lamp by my favorite female rock singer Stevie Nicks. I like the last story of the female warrior and her flying dragon or bird. My favorite part when she is in the bar. She gives those green guys a can-of-whoop --- on them and Captain Sternn in a courtroom trial where wild strange things happen. The late John Candy has an excellent voice performance as Den and the robot. I gave Heavy Metal two thumbs up! This movie should be recommended for those who are fans of grown-up cartoons and sci-fi freaks!
The Island (1980)
"The Island" is the best horror/suspense...
"The Island" is the best horror/suspense/adventure pirate movie ever made. The modern day pirates,bloodshed,voodoo,all-in-between! I love that movie especially the head pirate played by cult favorite British actor David Warner is very excellent in that movie, exposing a lot of skin as the head pirate turns me on! I like the part when him and his terrorizing trio start having a pirate boat war and doing pirate stuff I really recommend this movie better than same-old-boring pirate movies,"The Island" got everything you really want to see!
