The Edge (1992–1993)

Well, even though it wasn't the best sketch comedy show, it was star studded. Of course everyone knows Jennifer Aniston and Wayne Knight, but it was also one of the shows that launched Jill Talley and Tom Kenny into the spotlight and probably helped them get into Mr. show. Edd Hall, of Tonight Show fame did voice overs and Alan Ruck(Spin City, Ferris Bueller's Day Off) and comedian Rick Overton rounded up the cast.

A show that people may look back on as a launching pad for young talent in the future.

Ulysses (1967)

I think this is the best they could do with the material

Ulysses as a film should in no way be compared with the novel, for they are two entirely different entities. However, that being said, the film still manages to maintain many of the elements that made the book work, but since it is a visual medium, it is more difficult to pull of stream-of-consciousness. I think this is the best film they could have made with the material... and this is from someone that routinely rants about films not being like their literary counterparts. I recommend the book, but the movie is still entertaining.

Shasta McNasty (1999–2000)

Great at the start... but may be waning...

Shasta McNasty was a great show when it first began, because it was willing to be brutally politically correct, and not follow the traditional mainstream attitude that their storylines must be cliche. They did things that were so stupid, but funny that it was fantastic, but in recent episodes, it is as though they are bowing to pressure, and trying to become a more mainstream sitcom, by employing standard storylines. Let's hope they come to there senses and go back to the craziness of the first half of the season. We don't need another friends, but we always need a Shasta McNasty.

Duckman: Private Dick/Family Man (1994–1997)

Great Social Commentary...

Duckman is one of those touchstone series that really made a difference... like many of the other users here, I agree it has a lot of the spirit of the Simpsons, but it is willing to take it a bit further... Duckman really gives it to American Society and the media, taking what could be cliches, and turning them into biting social commentary.... plus it is outrageously funny. Highly recommended...

The Cold Equations (1996 TV Movie)

Disappointing to say the least...

As I watched this film of one of my favorite stories, I couldn't help but feel disappointed... particularly because I saw it dramatized so much more faithfully as an episode of the New Twilight Zone. In an attempt to make this story a full-length feature, they added elements that were not present in the original, and it has tainted an otherwise tight plot. If you really want to see this story on film, look for the New Twilight Zone... it is many times better and much closer to the themes and ideas of the original story.

Tic Tac (II) (1997)

Simply Spectacular!

Wow! I've just seen this film, and it left me stunned. Not knowing anything about this movie, I was unprepared for its scope of humanity, even though it is interconnected and interweaving plots were played through just a few characters. Whether it was the skinheads, the troubled teenage boy and girl, the policemen or the others, they are all hard to look away from as their individual tales unfold and by the end you have a sense that you know more about people in general than you did before. But I cannot say it was wonderful... more like emotionally disturbing. But I guarantee that you will not be able to look away either.
