Holds true to the Star Trek lone of movies.
19 April 2000
That is true only in that odd numbered Star Trek movies friggin suck. I hated this movie. I really really really really really really really hated this movie. First Contact was fantastic and it left me thinking wow I like Star Trek movies again. Then I watched this movie. I was then forced to go into relapse and watch Wrath of Khan and the Star Wars movies (not Episode 1) to see what good sci-fi movies are.

I am not a trekkie or a geek, but I mean come on this is a bad Star Trek movie. My dad said that this was a good movie and worthy of watching. I am now in the process of excommunicating myself from my family.

Never ever under any circumstances watch this movie. If you are at someones house and they want you to watch it. DON'T. Stop others from watching it. Everyone in the room will be dumber for having watched it. I award it no points and may God have mercy on Gene Roddenberry's soul.

Not Quite Human (1987 TV Movie)
Good Disney movie.

I haven't seen this movie since I was a little kid, but I loved it then. I am not sure if I want to watch it as an adult. I will probably notice all the things that are wrong with it. As a movie for kids I would recommend this movie. If you are an adult I don't know if I can recommend it. But trust me your kids are gonna love it.

Not a bad little movie.

This was actually a very interesting movie. I tells the story of comedian Ernie Kovacs and his search for his kidnapped children. I love Jeff Goldblum and he is top notch in this movie. The movie features some of Kovac's classic sketches and boy are they funny.

I wouldn't rent this (mostly because I doubt I would be able to find it), but if it's on TV then sit down and watch it. The climax is very moving and the rest of the movie is also pretty darn funny.

Cyborg Cop (1993)
If you don't like cheezy movies..... then this isn't for you. If so then RENT THIS MOVIE!

My friends make fun of me because I like movies just like this one. It's bad and I'm talkin' realy bad. The type of movie that only gets shown late at night on cable. The basic premise is that a cop gets a call from his brother and he goes to help him. He gets there and lots of fights take place. Without saying the ending (do I even have to) that is pretty much the whole film. I really like John Rhyes-Davie, so this film is not a total waste. Alright maybe it is, but its fun to watch. I wonder if Davies even admits to being in this movie? I wouldn't. Even after all that I still like this movie. It's fun because it is so formulaic that every single scene can be determined before it happens. This movie should only be watched by people who like cheezy movies and the five or six hardcore John Rhyse-Davis fans from around the world. All others stay away!!!!!

A college dropout and a visionary in his garage change the world.
9 April 2000
This is one of the best made for TV films that I have seen in a while. It is very well made and offers both humor and insight into the internet and computer revolution. It is the story of two men who changed the world. I absolutely love how it contrasts the difference between Gates and Jobs. Jobs was a visionary who got caught up in his own philosophy. Gates, the brilliant and ruthless businessman who built an empire. Oh yeah and if you want to laugh yourself to death just watch the scene where Bill Gates (Anthony Michael Hall) tries to pick up women in the roller rink. This was a story that needed to be told and it was told really well. I don't know where you can find this film, but if you see it in your local video store and want to know how the computer world was set on end by a guy in his garage and a college dropout then rent this movie.

One of the funniest movies I have ever seen.
7 April 2000
This movie is absolutely hilarious. I grew up watching movies like this so please forgive my bias. It has dozens of quotable lines. In fact every time I ask my dad to buy me a watch he just says "Ask somebody, somebody will tell you what time it is". A bit emotionally scarring, but what the heck it's funny! This movie starts off really well and then just gets better. Donald Sutherland and Gene Wilder deliver two very funny comedic performances and keep you laughing the whole time. This movie has both elements of cerebral and slapstick humor. I mean the whole shooting gallery bit with the man in the iron mask is classic. My dad showed me this movie when I was six I laughed like crazy. Now at age twenty when I actually get all the jokes I laugh even harder. This movie is a hit or miss type thing. You will either love it or hate it. If you are sick of the usual hip teen comedy that are out right now try looking in the section of your video store that has the older stuff. This movie will be hidden far in the back probably right next to Young Frankenstein. Watch and either laugh like mad or curse me for reccomending it. I think you will be pleasantly surprised and if not then oh well.

You can't be serious. That was the funniest thing I have ever seen.
29 March 2000
I feel like a sicko for saying this, but the Story of Ricky was the funniest thing I have ever seen. A blatant communist propaganda film, which uses kung fu and ridiculous scenes to make a political statement. This was the goriest movie I have ever seen. I started watching this movie with a friend and initially complained because there were no subtitles. Little did I know that were unnecessary. All in all this is the bloodiest movie I think that has ever been made. For extra fun try and spot all the satirical elements dealing with communism versus capitalism.

One last thing. If there was ever a movie that required an X rating for violence this is it.
