The Bone Collector (1999)
Seven...but three better...
Just got back from the theater...still trying to recover. Bone Collector was the first movie I've seen in a long time that held me from the opening scene through the end. This is one film that was definitely worth the price of admission...but not for the faint of heart.
Sarah, Plain & Tall: Winter's End (1999)
Making a patchwork family....
Excellent story of lives that need repair....one of those rare films that I could watch with my 7 and 8 year old daughters... Glenn Close was excellent in the title role. It was also nice to see Christopher Walken in a more normal role.
Frankenstein (1931)
Brilliant!
Having seen this film as a child...it was the catalyst for my interest in "monster" movies. No, it doesn't bear much resemblance to Mary Shelley's book, but is a frightening piece of cinematic history nonetheless. Let's face it...without Frankenstein, there would never have been a "Young Frankenstein"! That alone, makes this film a must see for the horror movie fan.
