Uncle Sam (1996 Video)
Isaac hayes made a big mistake...
24 August 1999
Isaac Hayes surrounds himself in the foul stench of mediocrity by showing up in this movie. Isaac Hayes kept this movie afloat with a solid performance as the former soldier who has to save everyone from the wrath of Sam. The director seemed to have issues with the protesters of Vietnam as a former soldier by the name of Sam comes back to life to kill the non-patriotic Americans. I am a sucker for straight to video horror movies with a funny tagline. This movie satisfied that part of me. But I want the person who ends up killing everyone to make funny one-liners after he kills them. Uncle Sam failed to satisfy this requirement. The only thing that kept me laughing was Isaac Hayes. With the great tagline of "uncle sam wants you...dead!", I thought this movie had the potential of being a personal favorite of mine. Unfortunately, it did not. It was good, but not great. I give this movie a 6 out of 10, and if you want to see Isaac Hayes in all his glory, go rent it today!

The Pumaman (1980)
"Pumaman, he flies like a moron!"
24 August 1999
Oh boy, where do I begin. Lets see, we have a superhero (I use this term loosely)named Neil who possesses the power of the puma. I ask you this, since when do puma's fly? Well, this pumaman is a whinny pathetic superhero who cant even fly correctly. He has his butt sticking way up in the air! Now, the man who helps him realize this power is a woodsprite named Vadinho. Actually, he is a Aztec Priest who claims that "each man is a God, each man is free!" If each man is a God, what does that make the Gods? Vadinho spends his free time chasing after Neil in an attempt to convince him of his powers. Eventually, after tossing Neil the Puma belt (I apologize on behalf of this movie) which enables him to fly, Neil realizes that he is the ferocious Pumaman, and is destined to fight crime. These two battle Dr. Cobras who was played by the late Donald Pleasance. Cobras has this special parking meter that can control the thoughts and actions of anyone he wants. His goal is to control Neil's thoughts so he can kill himself. I dont want to talk anymore about the plot because I am getting sick! All I can say is that MST3k saved this movie, otherwise I would have never watched it. I give it a 10 if you watch the MST3k version, and a 2 if you watch the original version. If you are going to watch it, I hope you make the right decision.

NightMan (1997–1999)
Watch out batman, there is a new superhero in town...
11 August 1999
To all those superheros out there, I ask you this: "Can you play the saxophone and fight crime all in one day?" Director Nick Daniel brings a fresh new look to an overplayed theme of superheroes. Using his sheer brilliance, Daniel created the character Jonny Domino, aka Nightman, who is an amazing saxophone player but is "tuned to the frequency of evil." Domino is able to hear the plans of criminals, so he built a crime fighting suit that makes him look like a cross between Robocop and the Pumaman. I love this show but because it is only showed after 12am, I hardly get to watch it. I give this show a 10!

Muppets in Space didn't disappoint...
10 August 1999
Muppets in Space was a great movie for all. I was pleased to see familiar faces in this movie and I am always happy to see the swedish chef. Every muppet I saw reminded me of somebody I knew, which made this movie even more hilarious. I always believed that Gonzo would find his family, and now that he did, I can die a happy man.

Zeus was the only reason this movie was worth seeing...
10 August 1999
This movie was awful in almost all regards except for the simple fact that Zeus was in this movie. Zeus put on a masterful performance and I was lucky enough to see it. Although he is older and has lost most of the muscle he once had, his eyes are still as crossed as ever and he still barks out lines with the best of them. I wouldn't recommend this movie unless you are a Zeus lover as I am. If you are, I recommend you see this movie and also see the sequel to Friday, which is in production as we speak. I give this movie a 2 out of 4 stars

Butter (1998)
10/10
The greatest trio ever assembled make this movie an hbo hit
10 August 1999
I have to say that butter was the greatest movies ever made. I am not joking when I say this. Using the talents of Zeus, Ernie Hudson, and Tony Todd was pure gold. Now, maybe I am biased when I rate this movie a 10, but I was on the edge of my seat in this non-stop thriller. I happen to love these three actors and having them work together was icing on the cake. Ernie Hudson put in an Oscar winning performance and Tony Todd and Zeus were great as Ernie's right hand men. The ending was a classic similar to the ending of Reservoir Dogs. All I can say is "It's butter baby!"

Life (I) (1999)

A great movie backed up by a great cast...
10 August 1999
Martin Lawrence finally sheds his "Whats UUUUUUUUUUP!" image with a stellar performance in Life. Eddie Murphy returned to greatness with his first good movie in awhile. Hopefully this is the start of something good by having these two amazing actors working together. "Are you gonna eat that cornbread?" I couldn't stop laughing the whole time I was there. I give Life a 10 and recommend it to everyone.

Leprechaun 4: In Space (1996 Video)
1/10
Can you say worst movie ever made...
10 August 1999
I am a big fan of cheezy horror movies, but this movie stole an hour and a half from me and I want it back! In the worst movie of the series, they decided to send the leprechaun into space. What were they thinking? I guess they were hoping people like me would watch it. Well, if that's the case, they got me there. But I suggest to fellow horror fans not to waste your time on this sad attempt at a movie. There were no great death scenes, Warwick Davis was not funny. I give this movie a 0 out of 4 and pray that nobody makes the same mistake I did.

The Break (1995)

A tennis movie that portrays the satellite tennis scene
10 August 1999
This movie was ok. I am a tennis fan, and I have to say that the portrayal of the satellite scene was overly dramatic but did paint a picture of what really does happen. This movie decided to find actors who looked like famous ones, having Robbins played by a Tom Cruise look a like and having Irons played by a Kevin Costner look a like. Even though they were mediocre actors, they were ten times better than Martin Sheen was. He did the typical give me the check effort and really didnt care about the success of this movie. Otherwise, I give this movie a 7 out of 10, a good tennis movie for all fans of the game.

Riding with Death (1976 TV Movie)

A two-part TV show gets crammed into a movie...
10 August 1999
Ben Murphy, Mr. Mellow, stars in a TV show that somehow is a movie. I laughed the whole way through although this was a semi-serious movie. The plot was hopeless and the actors were unintentionally funny. Buffalo Bill or whatever his name was, was a sorry excuse for an actor who was Ben Murphy's extremely hickish trucker buddy. If you liked dukes of hazards, you may love this movie, but I would strongly suggest not to watch it. I give it a 2 out of 10
