DuckTales: The Treasure of the Golden Suns (1987)
Season 1, Episode 0

An AMAZING display of Disney magic. Superb viewing.

While going through my archives of old VHS tapes, I happened to stumble upon one labled "Treasure of the Golden Suns". Appearently I had taped it off TV in 1987 when it originally aired on prime time television. I was certainly in for a treat! "Treasure of the Golden Suns" was the movie that started the DuckTales the series. It follows the adventures of Scrooge, his three nephews, his hired nanny Mrs. Beakly, and his pilot LaunchPad McQuack as they embark on an epic journey in search of the fabled Incan Treasure of the Golden Suns. The plot moves swiftly, with more twists than a pretzel factory....and the dialogue is top notch, especially for a TV movie. Also, it's not particularly for younger viewers due to some intense scenes and MUCH violence. Nevertheless, the movie astounded me in every way possible....animation, scripting....it has it all. A MUST for any Disney or adventure fan. 10/10

Funny and Heart Warming....but still not on par with the original.

An Extremely Goofy Movie is an hilarious example of Disney magic.....for the most part. While the film boasts great animation and some genuinely funny scenes, it also gets muddled with some poor dialogue and several plot holes (showing some Post-production tinkering.) Nevertheless, this movie still had the ability to move and entertain me. Fine viewing, but not quite as good as the original. 8/10

A Goofy Movie (1995)

Disney at its finest. A superb movie!

A Goofy Movie ranks upon my top 5 favorites. It gives an accurate representation of adolescent life in an uplifting, comedic, and often heartwarming fashion. The animation is good, the songs are great, the screenplay is superb, the voices fit each character perfectly (Especially Max's. Good job Mr. Marsden!) and many nice cinematic effects are included. This "kids" movie is a real treat to the older, and, at times is symbolic of deeper messages. A real winner that should be in the hands of any Goofy, Disney, or movie fan, for that matter!
