Supermarket Sweep (I) (2020–2022)

Boring mini-games but great sweeps
25 February 2021
Apparently I'm the only person who disliked Ruprecht back in the day. Leslie is hilarious, encouraging, and authentic...all the things her predecessor was not. DC, however, has some creepy lines.

I'm not a fan of the mini-games, but I understand their purpose. The sweeps are just as exciting as the old series, and the increased prizes/bank or play aspect makes it even more interesting.

What a Surprise!
17 September 2007
I am at a loss for truly appropriate words for how phenomenal this movie is. I'm even dangling verbs. Like many of the other reviewers, I was brought to tears. Adam Sandler blends his telltale silliness with a truly moving performance, along with a wonderfully eccentric performance by Christopher Walken. This movie meant a lot to me as a married man. I'm only three years in, but anyone who is married and doesn't appreciate this film is missing out on life. I thought the potty humor was hilarious...people take themselves too seriously or don't allow themselves to laugh if they thought the dog's actions were stupid. That's life! I recommend this movie to everyone.

Underrated All the Way
15 November 2002
Robin Williams, Jon Stewart, Danny Devito and Ed Norton, Jr. are an amazing

line up for one film. I'm surprised more people didn't take to it, though. The one liners alone make this a classic for any fan of the cult film. Yes, I said cult film. Ed Norton and Robin Williams' development as a character were very well

done. You can feel Mopes grow as a person through the entire film, but the

dialogue and interaction between the warring factions cleverly disguises them from the joe-schmoe moviegoer. Needless to say, it's a keeper and I can't wait to subject more of my friends to it.

One Thing to Add...
9 September 2001
I'm not sure if anyone else has pointed this out, but the story of a slightly demented, oddball character travelling through time and space was hatched in the 60s: Doctor Who, on the BBC. But I love Bill & Ted, so don't get me wrong. I just always thought it was neat that whereas, the Doctor is usually in his early thirties to late sixties, Bill & Ted are righteous teenagers.

Potential Flop Turns into One Huge, Fantastic Inside Joke
18 August 2001
I had my reservations...I admit it. I thought, "This could really suck. They've already gone and given away the funniest parts in the previews (a la Scary Movie)." But after seeing tonight's Sneak Preview with 400 other screaming Kevin Smith fans, I am *SO* glad I was wrong. This is a must see for any Mewes/Smith fan, and even novice watchers will enjoy the humor, especially after they see the previous four major releases and Smith's lesser known works. Hats off to Affleck, Damon, Elizabeth, Dushku, and others I will *NOT* give away (those people who give away movie secrets should be beaten, repeatedly) for being able to poke fun at themselves. When it hits nationwide next weekend, be sure to take several of your closest friends *AND* an unsuspecting authority figure...you'll be glad you did.

Double Take (2001)

Best One Liners in a Long Time
3 August 2001
All right, I'll admit the movie itself lacked in certain places (such as extensive lag time in key areas), but I was on the floor crying with the great quips each lead character used. There is no doubt Griffin and Jones are wonderful comedic actors...Jones' performance in Replacements is proof positive of his talent. The problem most people have, though, is they can't see his ability clearly because of career moves he has taken. In Double Take, though, both Jones and Griffin shine in two different comedic styles, both jaw dropping funny and incredibly illustrated. I rented this movie solely to see Jones, and now I have a newfound respect for Griffin's ability, as well.
