Gladiator (2000)
WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW!

WOW! I cannot remember the last time I was so engrossed in a film! From the opening battle sequence as gripping as the WWII landings in Saving Private Ryan, through the political intrigue to the gladitorial action in the colussium I was transfixed.

Do not wait till this film comes out on video as epics of this nature do not come around too often so see them where they were made to be seen.

Russell Crowe really has lifted his career into superstardom with this marvellous performance as Maximus, former Roman General, sentanced to death but only to return as Gladitorial hero of the Empire.

Backed up by a very strong cast, including Oliver Reed in his best, and last performance, Richard Harris, and Joaquin Pheonix, as snivelling Emperor Commodus.

Ridley Scott has lifted his talents to a new level.

A film I will remember where I was when I first saw it!

Don't even waste your time!

There is actually no need to comment on the film itself. It's pants! End of story.

I never thought I would ever say it but the best thing in this movie is Stephen Baldwin!! This tells you all you need to know.

The story is poor. Mark Addy as Fred is out of his depth and not as loveable a character as John Goodman.

Please save your children and take them to the park and get some fresh air.
