Pane e tulipani (2000)
I almost stopped watching it - it moved so slowly at first..
Then it bloomed. I loved this movie. Others have commented on how unrealistic it was ... maybe, and maybe not. I like to think some lives shift like this everyday and perhaps mine is in the line-up somewhere. The characters were believable and the actors delightfully normal-looking - definitely not a Hollywood version of this story. Bravo!
Clerks (1994)
The best of Kevin Smith - VERY FUNNY
This is a great movie that I can watch over and over and enjoy more with each viewing - truly a wonderful example of untarnished creativity. The dialog and headliners include some hefty vocabulary - you may need a dictionary if you are not well-schooled, but the people are real beyond anything outside of a documentary. Not for the faint of heart re language and sex.
Mr. Wrong (1996)
I found this movie very funny!!
It started out so slow but halfway through it became absolutely hilarious. Definitely a chick flick for fans of oddities like Titus! I have watched it several times and find it just as funny as the first time. I guess, like Titus (the tv show) , you have to have experienced it to see the humor. If you have ever had someone seem so right who turned out to be so persistent and WRONG you may enjoy Mr. Wrong.
The 10th Kingdom (2000)
Hey Hurrah!
This mini series is funny, sweet, romantic, exciting and has some surprising twists, my children (ages 10-13) enjoyed it as well, my daughter is now *in love* with Scott Cohen so to speak as I am as well! see it if you have the time to watch something 7hrs long, because believe me it is worth it! 10/10!
Memento (2000)
Brilliant but disturbing
Extraordinary flick with a disturbingly realistic portrayal of a life gone very wrong in the wake of a life-changing accident...exquisitely done. Prepare to be deeply effected by storytelling at its best. However, I would not want to watch it again.
Mumford (1999)
I love this movie
This is a just a plain old feel-good movie with lots of texture to it. The characters are believable and touched me deeply - I felt like I would like to know them for another few movies. One I could watch over and over if I watched the tube that much (which I don't). Agreat one for young teens as well.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1966)
Oldie but goodie
I never saw this in the 60's though I was of an age to...just saw it the other night on television and only watched it for Buster Keaton, whom I have recently developed a great joy in seeing. I enjoyed the whole thing...silly, (sexest, yes, a movie of the 60's), funny stuff. My kids aged 10 and 12 really enjoyed it, too.
The Cameraman (1928)
Buster was ahead of his time
These old silents are the true man - this one the last of his best. Don't even begin to think that if you have seen him in any of his talkies you know his style. These silents are FUNNY! As with all his silents there is also the heartache of the loner seeking to belong and assert his right to be. He was king of slapstick with depth.
The Navigator (1924)
This is one that is funnier the more you see it
I didn't really think it was so funny till my kids kept watching it over and over - it just got funnier and funnier - the scene with the picture flung from the side of the boat is only one of those that keep us laughing. One of our favorite Keaton's.
Three Ages (1923)
One of our Keaton favorites
This movie is really funny!! The General is Keaton's finest work but there are many of his works that are more hilarious - in this one are multiple sight gags and creative humor. We watch it over and over and it only seems to get funnier!
The Goat (1921)
One of his funniest shorts!
This is one you can watch over and over and laugh just as much each time. We have been on a Keaton fest around here after purchasing some of his films. In this one Buster is mistaken for an escaped murderer and there are lots of chase scenes and crazy scenes but also what is best about Buster - his creativity. The opening scene is really funny and it just keeps going from there.
