Designing Women (1986)
THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!
Frankly, I thought this show was fantastic!!! Not only were Dixie Carter,Delta Burke, Annie Potts and Jean Smart fantastic in their roles, the series itself was fantastic! And despite the big arguement over Delta's weight, the show still succeeded. I mean, I LOVE Dixie Carter. She is just about as beautiful and intelligent as they come. And being born in Tennessee and doing as well as she has done for herself isn't easy...I just admire her so much. And this show just brought out the best in her with her tirades and all!! I just LOVED it! It's a great show and EVERYONE should watch it! If ya'll want to IM me, my SN is ClssySssyJen or you can email me at Dianarossdiva@yahoo.com!
Bette (2000)
The best tv show EVER!
Oh my gosh, I loved this show, I am so sad it is cancelled, that was my Wednesday nights, watching Bette, I didn't miss one episode, not one, and I couldn't be disturbed while watching it, I am just so disappointed that it's gone, especially after it won a People's Choice Award and a TV Guide Channel award! I wish it would continue to be on and I just want to know why it was cancelled, I mean the cast was great!!!
Double Platinum (1999)
The best movie I have ever seen
I loved the movie. I have seen it 16 times and counting. I am the biggest fan of Diana Ross,it is unbelievable. I just think that putting Diana Ross in the role of a mother and her having five kids in real life is absolutely brilliant. And then to put Brandy as her daughter, not only does she have the perfect voice parallel to Diana Ross but she is a child herself. So those are two perfect roles in the beginning. I just feel like every time I watch that movie, I learn more about life. I mean it happens all the time. Maybe not to a star like that but I mean abandonment and then they find them. They just played the roles perfectly. And as for the music. I think it was wonderful of them to use their own songs, that way they could have one less thing to do. I mean it's a made for television movie, they are not going to go all out. I would give anything to be Brandy. And the songs were just so wonderful. They went with the movie great. I thought that they both are wonderful and they had a great role in that film. And I think that if you didn't like it, you don't know what true talent is. I mean they played their natural roles as a mother and a daughter. And I am so glad that Ms. Ross was able to put the songs from that movie on her album. I love those song. Because love is all that matters and I think that that song came from Diane Warrens heart. I love everything that Diana Ross does. She is such a talented person. I mean she has a 12 year old son at age 56 and she just got divorced and to make such a movie and record her album right when she had just gotten divorced and she was married for 14 years. I would give anything to see her in concert, but she never comes to Iowa. But besides that I loved the movie and I will continue to watch it for many times to come.
Isn't She Great (2000)
The best Bette Midler movie EVER!!!
WOW!!! A great movie from the great M!! I just thought she played Jacqueline Susanne so well! It was a role made in heaven for her! It fit her so well, I mean, she got to be something she isn't, with the snazzy outfits and the outrageous language! And Nathan, what a guy! I mean an editor, and a supportive and romantic husband. I laughed and cried at the same time, I mean, the tree was a good part of the movie, I loved when the went to the tree, it was full of touching moments, and their son, wow! That was kind of a surprise! I just loved the way Jacqueline couldn't act, couldn't sing, but could write, could write about everything people were afraid to write about- Sex, Drugs, Prostitutes everything, and how no one would take it because of her courage to write about that stuff, what an amazing and challenging part to play, yet Bette pulls it off great! Stockard Channing, what can I say about this marvelous person! She pulled off her small role in a big way! It must have been neat for Bette and Stockard to be reunited for the first time since First Wives Club, though Stockard parts are small in both movies, I think it's the greatest thing since Grease, just great!! Everyone from young to old should watch this! I'm 14 and I loved it!!
