Megiddo: The Omega Code 2 (2001)
B-movie that should have gone straight to video!
This film was so over the top and ridiculous. With all due respect to its subject matter of the coming of the Apocalypse, Megiddo cut so many cheesy corners that it almost seemed disrespectful to the Bible. And what a shame to release a movie about world war when our country is trying so hard to unite and be strong after the recent tragedy, even if it does have a happy ending!
The Next Best Thing (2000)
What was the deal with the shadow?
Was it just me or did anyone notice a "shadow" on half of Madonna's face thru out the whole flick? That alone distracted me from getting involved with this film...Also the pairing of her and Bejamin Bratt, totally unbelievable...
Bless the Child (2000)
A cross between The Omen (reversed) and the Sixth Sense.
This is a movie about a cult of devil worshippers who kill innocent children until they find the gifted holy child they have been searching for. they find her and try to convert her to the dark side.
it was ok, had some fun and campy scenes that makes one truly respect a set of knitting needles! it had a few good jumps and startles and some impressively ugly looking demons. overall it ended kinda hokey. not for kids or for people who are afraid of occult-oriented films.
Luminarias (1999)
Four upscale Chicanas use love as a way to shatter their stereotypes.
Love has no rules. That's what these four professional business women discover. They learn to break through the cultural barriers that have been haunting them all their lives when they each fall in love with someone they least expect.
Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000)
This movie doesn't quite cut the mustard. Sorry, Sherman.
This sequel has lost the warmth and charm of the original (1996 version) and replaced those endearing qualities with endless gags about obesity, sex and age. What a disappointment! Not for kids. Eddie Murphy does a great job with the makeup, but there are too many story lines going on and the main plot of Buddy Love coming back to taunt Sherman is all together 'thin'!
