Ocean's Eleven (2001)
Supreme acting + directing!!
The transformation from simple plot into fun and natural film is not an easy task. Ocean's 11 consists everything you can imagine. Romance, Adrenaline rush, bit of action and touching moments combined with perfect ending! This movie is highest held in every aspect and supremely watched. I loved this movie so much! Acting was realistic and flawless with terrific directing. You will see that both the movie and the crew made the impossible possible with invaluable efforts and vitalities. I am sure that you will love this movie from the start till the end. Carpe diem!
Gongdong gyeongbi guyeok JSA (2000)
first you hate it, then you love it, finally you understand it.
This is one mysterious and yet beautiful movie! First, I hated watching the cruelty and the suffering content of this movie. However, in the end, I came out totally amazed. With my mouth open wide and my pupils grown! Everything made sense in the end. I wasn't disappointed at all. In fact, I'm thankful to have watched this film. I recommend this movie to anyone from mail-man to the soldiers. Get on with it! You will laugh, cry and shout! Just sit back and enjoy the movie. Good luck!
Planet of the Apes (2001)
Nothing Special......1968 Apes were better period.
Honestly, my expectations for this movie diminished right after I watched 2001 version of the "Apes." I thought that Tim Burton would bring something fantastic but it was a total failure.....Not as much passion inputed as an old "Planet of the apes." I wasn't fully disappointed with the special effects but I was well disappointed with the story lines and the visual content of the film. Apes didn't look as real as the 1968 Ape.
I would just like to say that this movie is for an entertainment, not for an enlightenment of the hidden meanings and themes behind the film. If you just want to relax and watch the film off the curiosity then this film is a perfect feature. However, if you are a person who wants to be in awe of unexpected glimpse and extraordinary story lines, then either read the novel or watch the 1968 version of "The planet of the Apes." I personally didn't enjoy 2001 version of "The planet of the Apes." 6.3/10 I would give.
The Pianist (1991)
Excellent reflection on human nature and infatuation on pianist.
On encountering with the movie "The pianist" I for the first time felt what genuine infatuation and obsession meant on human nature. It is true after all. This film is set in Vancouver Island, Canada, life of rich family and neighborhood. It reflects how fragile humanity can be and how obsessive young teenagers can become at a stage of puberty.
It's well constructed. Although I'm not obsessive in recommending this movie to people, it was worth awhile to watch it off the curiosity. If you are interested in experiencing a bit of Japanese culture and young girl's extraordinary crush on young pianist, watch the film. However, I warn you.......It'll leave you a tingling feeling through out the whole film.....Watch out. It's your choice.
