The Cell (2000)
perfect!!!!
6 March 2001
Fear...and curiosity about what will be going on next, yet a great dibble and fear is all around. The director (Tarsem Singh) did a perfect work. The uniqueness of the dream world, futuristic, something vague, mysterious, which is happening are done very well. The scenes is more like those in the video clips but it represents the dream land very well. The impressive Jennifer Lopez is amazing. The instinct to help the children, the victim and her courage to fight the demon, very brave. She is well directed and performed impressively. Each acts in this movie are done with details. We can see the sadism in a real world and the sadism in a dream one. Both are performed with a different taste but same theme, sadistic. A thriller movie but a very good entertainment with the future setting, artistic!

Proof of Life (2000)

A good story with a very good direction. Both Tery and Peter are represented well by Russell Crowe and David Morse. Peter with his never give up spirit set a very good example and also as the reason of why he was in that place. While Terry out of his commercial profession as a negotiator still has consciousness to help a poor lady named Alice (Meg Ryan)who is alone and helpless. Meg who known by her sunny, funny characters plays in a very different way here. Different in a sense of the character itself and also result. Meg is not complete or play with her maximum. Her emotion is not fully portrayed. Though she is still good, but it is not as good as what she used to be. Her emotion is not involved totally here.

Sausalito (2000)
characters

Both main characters are portrayed well in this movie. We can see the mature, independent divorced woman in a Maggie cheung or Ellen and a selfish childish easy going guy in a Leon Lai or Mike. Both are portrayed perfectly. We might dislike a character like Mike in the story, but that is fact!

The only unbalanced thing is the setting for Ellen's house which considered too lux for a cab driver. Maybe there should be a line to cope with such situation, like the ex-husband is supporting them, and she work as a cab driver just as part timer, etc etc.

In a rough way, this film is excellent! All the dialogues, the house interiors, costumes, and fact of life is described very well.
