Psych (2006–2014)
7/10
Best Detective Comedy Since Monk
8 August 2006
Psych is one of the most interesting and comedic series to come out this year. After watching the pilot episodes with one of my friends we were both hooked. James Roday brings his character, Shawn Spencer, a laid back cynical sleuth to life. The witty dialogue is enough to keep anyone entertained for the duration of every episode so far. The character of Gus played by Dule Hill is a brilliant contrast to Raday's character, creating excellent chemistry showcasing how opposites make great television. Over all Psych is a clever, interesting, and hilarious show. Although its not completely original and some concepts are a little far fetched, I think it will entertain anyone who takes the time to tune in Friday evenings.

Why Lord Why Must this movie exist
17 July 2006
When I saw this movie 3 years ago I was surprised at how awful it really was. I mean why the hell would you make this movie into a musical when none of the actors in it can sing? I thought this movie would be about Lisa Kudrow trying to act black, which would have been funny since she is the whitest girl I have ever seen, but the director decided not to go that route, like the title entails, and decided to make it into a romance musical which had a total of ONE funny moment. When Wayne's character starts singing "I wanna love you IN THE BUTT, IN THE BUTT, IN THE BUTT!!!" and all the backup singers had red targets painted on their rear ends. Thats about the only funny part of the movie, and you only laugh for a few seconds. Anyone who rated this movie a 10 either is a HUGE Waynes brother fan, or they love the smooth, sensual voice of Lisa Kudrow when she sings (FUBAR!)

This movie both hurt my eyes and made me a lesser being
17 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was awful. It made me want to become a communist (a fate worse than death), because the filmmaker obviously wanted everyone who saw this movie to stab themselves in the eyes with a fork to make the horrid images of this movie go away. How could anyone let this movie be made. It fails on so many levels no wonder it was ranked on the bottom 100. The worst part about this movie is that it fails to even be comedic after a while, the whole "so bad its good" mentality does not even apply to this piece of garbage. I hope all these people learned a valuable lesson in how not to make a movie. Now if you will excuse me, my eyes have not stopped bleeding since after I watched this movie.

Silent Hill (2006)
6/10
What a great movie
22 April 2006
Silent Hill was one of the best if not the best horror movies I have seen in my life. Done are the days of the psychological horror genre that audiences saw with The Ring and The Grudge. Don't get me wrong those movies were well done and did scare me at times, but Silent Hill did so much more. You see, Silent Hill does not so much scare you as scar you. When you leave the theater the movie stays with you, that is what a good horror movie should do.

This movie creates an atmosphere of a true nightmare, which is what the world of Silent Hill is all about. This movie stays true to what the games are all about, without relying too much on their fan base. The story to Silent Hill is actually (and surprisingly) very good. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but if you did not want to see it because you thought it would have a crap story, think again.

I found myself truly enjoying this sick demented world of Silent Hill and I believe a lot of people will too. It is a must see for any horror film junkie, and a refreshing film to all those "PG-13" horror movies that have been coming out lately.

Amélie (2001)

Touching
10 April 2006
This film is really a wonderful feel good movie. It is stylishly done and the message is one of happiness. In a world where there seems to be no do gooders and only people worrying about their own personal lives it is very meaningful to fallow the story of a young women who only wants to help others, and through that find love and better her life. I hope everyone has a chance to see this movie, if only to be touched by its content. This is one of my favorite movies right down to its Yan Tierssen sound track. Amelie is a movie that can be enjoyed by everyone and anyone who is old enough to take it seriously and the same time appreciate its light- hearted playfulness.

The Best Action Movie in years
10 April 2006
The thing that makes A History of Violence so excellent is its realism. There is no intense slow motion action scenes with bullet dodging or kung fu choreography. The action is genuine and actually plausible. There was no point in the film where I called shenanigans on Viggo Mortensen's moves to dispatch the various scum and crime lords in the movie.

I was also pleased with the dramatic undertone of the movie, it balances well with the action, even if it sometimes seems too intense. The acting is excellent, the entire cast is believable and do a great job in expressing the confusion and anger of the scenarios of this film.
