Tiresome
8 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
So, Maggie completely screws up an FBI operation, causes an officer to get shot, and there are no consequences? Everyone is just like, hey, it's okay? Yeah, not buying it. I hope the sister-addict story-line goes away soon; I know it's supposed to be all poignant and emotional, but I'm just not feeling it. This whole story was just...tiresome. Dad od's while waiting to pay ransom for his daughter? Really??? Then attacks the kidnapper and gets killed. Then Mom just keeps defending him and making up excuses? So now the poor kid has no parents, because Dad is dead and Mom is in prison. By the end, I'd really just lost interest.

Okay
5 May 2024
The story itself was okay, not great, but somewhat interesting and entertaining. The biggest problem with this show was Agent Nestor Vertiz. I'm sorry, but he is just repulsive. I'm not sure if Josh Segarra is a bad actor, or it's just the way he's playing this part (I've never seen him in anything before) but he's just smarmy. He's not remotely likable, and I honestly find it really hard to believe that Maggie would waste two minutes of her time on a guy like him. Apparently he's been added just to add conflict, which isn't really needed; in fact, all of the posturing and chest-puffing between him and OA just distracts from the story and the rest of the agents. I'm not crazy about Tiffany, either, but she seems to be improving. Nestor just keeps getting worse.

Decent Show
1 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I like this show so far. The stories as a whole are pretty good and I like the characters, although Agent Bell gets a little annoying at times. I will say that this episode was not as good as some of the earlier ones, but it was decent entertainment. I sometimes wonder if other reviewers watched the same show I did, because some of the comments seem to come out of left field and have nothing to do with what I saw. It was kind of an odd story; two girls being kidnapped for the sole purpose of this guy dragging them along with him to rob banks? Why? Agent Mosier says he wanted "family", but that doesn't really make much sense either. Overall. A decent show.

Boring
19 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
We just had a frame of McGarrett in the last episode, now we have a frame of Danny. The writers need to come up with some new ideas. On top of that, the story just isn't interesting. It's another recycled, old, tired story; kid defending a parent they believe was wrongly accused. And of course he's crazy, and talks to his dead father. Overall the story is really boring; we spent forever watching this kid break into the lab, which was tiresome, and then watched him build his weapon, which was boring. Maybe I've just seen too many of these stories. I hope Kario Salem has a day job, because he'll never make it as an actor, he was terrible.

Painful
14 January 2024
I love this show, and yes, it's because of its unexpected "quirky" plot lines; but this episode was painful to watch. Shelly is already one of my least favorite characters. She acts like mentally challenged sixteen-year-old, and although it's mildly entertaining, it borders on being disturbing. All that aside, the whole singing all of her dialog was just annoying. A little of it might have been funny, but there was way, way too much of it. The scenes went on way too long, the songs were weird, and no offence to Cynthia Geary, but I'm not a fan of her singing voice. The rest of the story line was good, but I just didn't find the Shelly story the least bit entertaining.

Ugh
27 September 2023
Yeah, I'm done. I never liked Michael Scott, but I kept watching because the rest of the cast made it worthwhile. I was happy when Michael left, and contrary to everyone else, I like Robert California.

This episode was the end. I'm tired of the Erin and Andy story line, it went on too long and this is just stupid. Pam's character has also descended into nothing but a whiny, useless baby machine. The death knell however is Nellie. I absolutely loathe her character and the actress who plays her is awful as well. There's just no reason to watch anymore.

That's the end of my review, this is just filler.

Embarrassing and Beyond Ridiculous
17 September 2023
There are parts of this show here and there that are funny; the parts that do NOT include Michael Scott. I like Steve Carell, but he is just awful in this, and in all honesty, it isn't his fault, because he's playing the part he's been given. The Michael Scott character isn't funny. He's so obnoxious, stupid, egotistical, narcissistic, and clueless, that it is embarrassing to watch him. Also, someone like him would have been fired after about 10 minutes; no way any company anywhere would ever put up with him. Most of the other characters (except Packer) are funny and entertaining which is why this got 4 stars instead of 1. It could be a good show if they hadn't gone over the top with the Michael Scott character.

EDIT: Everyone told me the first season was rough, but to just wait, it would get better. I wrote this review halfway through season 2, and was still waiting. I'm now halfway through season 3, and it has gotten worse. Michael is absolutely cringe-worthy. Everything he says is racist, bigoted, stereo types, and is just disgusting. There are so many HR violations, this moron would have been sued into oblivion. The addition of a second Michael, in the form of Andy Bernard (a complete douchebag), and a woman pumping breast milk at her desk, then breastfeeding her baby in the middle of the office was part of what made it worse.

Meh
5 September 2023
I really dislike Hiram Lodge. I know, that's the whole point of a villain, but he's just gotten tiresome. He does the same old thing, over and over, and it ceased being entertaining a long time ago.

So, we have this whole backstory that's supposed to make us feel sympathy? I'm sorry, but I don't buy it. He has regrets about not giving his father a second chance, and gives Reggie this whole song and dance about giving his father a second chance, while being the most ruthless, uncompassionate, uncaring person on the face of the earth. He pursued a TEENAGER, relentlessly, trying to KILL him because he what...disrespected him? Please...this was a pointless, totally unbelievable and BORING episode,

Good and Bad
4 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Am I the only one that knew Charles was a killer? I mean, we knew from the beginning he had Betty's phone bugged, and that Chic was his boyfriend; I've just been waiting for the reveal.

I guess I'm also the only one who is really tired of Archie. All he does is fight, constantly with everyone, lie about everything, mope around and make really stupid decisions, and it's just not entertaining to me at all. I wish Fred would have just died of a heart attack, instead of making a whole story line about this dumb kid and his father; it seems disrespectful to Luke Perry to me.

I WAS surprised about Jellybean. That was...weird, and rather disturbing, honestly, and her motive was pretty lame. Would have made more sense if Charles had done that too.

I've been tired of Hiram for a very long time, I just keep hoping someone actually takes him out. Veronica needs a better story line.

Cheryl and her family just add the crazy to the show, and although it's over the top at times, it's entertaining.

Betty and Jughead are the most interesting characters, and have the most interesting stories. Hopefully they don't screw that up with the Archie/Betty thing, that really didn't amount to anything.

Unpopular Opinion
2 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The only good part of this episode was the fact that Josie is leaving. Her character has been a pointless drag from the beginning, and - just my opinion - her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

I am tired of the gargoyle king story and Jughead's Mom (who hopefully won't be coming back) and Penny (who also hopefully won't be returning).

I am tired of the farm zombies and Betty's Mom, and Edgar and Evelyn. That story just keeps getting more stupid and tiresome.

I am tired of Archie fighting; I HATE boxing, and I'm really on the verge of stopping watching just because of it.

I am REALLY tired of Hiram. I know, we need an all-powerful villain; but it's starting to be the same old thing, over and over, Hiram trying to kill Archie (who has turned into a moron), and no one can ever touch him or stop him.

We need NEW story lines; these are just old and boring. I'll watch to the end of the season, but I have my doubts that the resolution to all of this (if we actually get one) will be interesting or surprising.

The downward spiral continues
2 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Too many boring, tiresome or stupid story lines.

Archie has always been my least favorite character, and he just keeps getting worse! How can anyone just get more stupid with each passing day? And he and Josie? There's a snoozefest. Absolutely no chemistry. I've never liked Josie; her character has no personality whatsoever. All she does is constantly sing, badly, then whine about her music. It's tiresome and boring.

I hate the whole Archie fighting story line. I thought it died when he escaped juvie, but unfortunately, it's back, dragging on and on and on...

How many gargoyle kings are there? We had the statue, then Tall Boy, and Hal, and now Moose's Dad. The gargoyles and gryphons story line has really jumped the shark; it has gone beyond stupid.

Then there's the farm story, which has been dragging on, endlessly, since the beginning, with no real information, and is so tiresome. And now, it's apparently also tied into gargoyles and gryphons. Not sure how much more I can stand before quitting what started as a good show, but is now circling the drain.

Kinda Going Off The Rails
1 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This show is weird, but I like it; until this episode, which was disconnected and just made no sense.

The Sisters of Mercy thing didn't seem to work. I thought when Betty proved the Gargoyle King was a scam, that we would be done with Gryphons and Gargoyles; but when Archie goes into bear attack hallucinations (which I'm sorry, is a boring and stupid sub-plot) he's playing the game with ghosts. And we know he's not dead, give me a break.

Betty's orphans (Also a boring stupid sub-plot; why would she take these kids into her house? And CPS doesn't do anything about taking care of them? Not believable) are still taking drugs and seeing the Gargoyle King. Then of course Hiram gets rid of all the evidence again.

I'm also getting tired of the mysterious Edgar and the Farm that we never see. This has gone on for three seasons; come on, fish or cut bait.

Veronica and her Father are getting a little tiresome, but glad Jughead and the Serpents have something to do finally. This show needs something new because if this episode is any indication, it's running out of steam and getting a little boring.

Another Clunker
22 August 2023
Why on earth do the writers keep bringing these losers back? The darlings are not funny. They have never been funny. They are obnoxious, pushy, overbearing, and their behavior borders on sexual harassment. Actually, it's not all of them, it's just Briscoe and Charlene. Nothing against Denver Pyle and Maggie Peterson; they did a good job of acting with the poor writing they had to deal with. The rest of the family is pretty much a non-entity since they do nothing but stand around silently looking slack jawed and stupid. The music is good; it's just too bad the writers didn't give them something decent to work with character wise.

Amusing
20 August 2023
I really like the song, it's probably my favorite song by Journey. The video is amusing, showing the production people all being frustrated with Steve while the actors couldn't care less. Unfortunately, the worst part of the video is Sherrie. Who on earth dressed that poor girl? I know it was the 80's but her outfit is just ugly. The plain white top and skirt with red tights? Ugh. And on her bony frame it's really unflattering. Then the way she just stands there looking lost and depressed without reacting to the fact that Steve is singing to her? Just seems like she should have shown some kind of life. Good song, so-so video..

20 August 2023
I know it's just a TV show, and it was made in the 60's, but I just dislike seeing men and women portrayed this way, even if there are people really like this. Flora is obtrusive, overbearing and pushy and won't take no for an answer, to the extent of practically stalking Andy. I just don't find it funny or particularly entertaining. Then there's Andy, who as a Sheriff, should be calm, cool, and collected, but some girl makes eyes at him and he immediately acts like a brainless goop. No one in this show ever seems to be able to tell people no with any kind of firmness. Then at the end she just switches over to fawning over Goober, who she never paid attention to before. Just irritating.

A Little Too Stupid
19 August 2023
It seems from the reviews that nobody likes Warren, but I honestly don't mind him. Sometimes he's a little too much, but so was Barney. I love Don Knotts and most of the time he's funny; but once in a while they took the stupidity a little too far and it just became embarrassing.

This episode, unfortunately, just didn't work for me at all. The premise of sleep walking and becoming a completely different person is just too silly, and the way it was handled was ridiculous. If I were Helen, being chased by an overly amorous acquaintance, I would have slapped him, which probably would have woken him up and solved everything right off the bat. Helen, unfortunately, tends to over-react and then she gets mad and unreasonable and won't listen to anybody. Just not a very good episode.

Not Great
14 August 2023
Andy's relatives are worse than the Darlings, and they're almost unbearable. I just don't find obnoxious, pushy people very funny. I know it's difficult to tell relatives they're annoying, but I think Andy could have come up with some excuse as to why they couldn't stay longer.

In the past, Andy has had visitors stay in their guest room (Otis, Malcolm off the top of my head), so what happened to it?

These people are Aunt Bea's sister and husband yet the Uncle played baseball with Andy as a kid? And they have kids Opie's age? The ages just don't seem to add up here. This episode is more annoying than entertaining.

Ernest T Bass is Too Much
12 August 2023
I'm usually pretty tolerant of the silliness because a lot of it is funny. Sometimes they just push it a little too far and it crosses the line from funny to so ridiculous that it becomes almost embarrassing. I love Barney but sometimes they push the thresh hold a little too far with him. Ernest T Bass on the other hand is NEVER funny. It's painful to watch him because he's obviously mentally deranged and dangerous; he waves guns around and constantly throws rocks. Not to mention the fact that he's broken dozens of windows, and never seems to have to pay for the damages. He's creepy and repulsive, and instead of committing him to an asylum somewhere, they just keep letting him go. Ernest T Bass is a complete character fail.

Sends the Wrong Message
8 August 2023
I get it, it's supposed to be a story about a poor farm girl who has to work and feels bad because she can't have "pretty" stuff. There are a lot of problems with it, however.

Ellie is way too pushy and aggressive, sticking her nose into other people's business, unasked and unwanted, refusing to take no for an answer, and it makes her less likable.

I know what it's like growing up on a farm, you work hard, but it doesn't mean you don't still have a good time. Maybe her Father is kind of strict, but I don't recall ever hearing how old she actually is, or why there's no Mother in the picture, so we don't know their circumstances, and it's nobody's business but theirs.

This also reinforces the belief that you have to be "pretty" to get attention, instead of having a good personality, and being kind, intelligent, and hard-working. And the bit at the end, where the Father is now going to "use" his daughter to trap some young man so he has another farm hand, is just wrong.

Maybe this story could have been done better, but as it is, it just sends the wrong message.

Good Episode
4 August 2023
I love Andrew Robinson. Yes, he's always a crazy, psycho, killer, but he does it so well. I'd like to see him do something dramatic because I'm sure he'd be excellent in any part. This was an interesting story and I thought it was pretty well done. I also don't understand all of the hate for Bonnie Ebsen; I like her, and I think she does a pretty good job of acting. She's not going to win an Emmy, but she's better than a lot of the people I've seen in these shows. I also think she has a decent singing voice, and I kind of liked her songs; obviously, my taste differs from some of the other reviewers who were ungraciously mean. It was an enjoyable show.

Not Great
3 August 2023
The story just bothered me. There's a lot of stigma attached to rape, and having a story about a rape victim who identified a guy because he was a suspect and looked nervous, and didn't care if it was actually the right guy, just didn't sit well with me. It kind of makes all rape victims look bad. Then we have the innocent guy she accused, who does everything in his power, to make himself look as guilty as possible. I also find it a little hard to believe that the Community College would hire a guy without doing any kind of background check or even verification of his identity. Sloppily done story.

Painfully Obvious
2 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
MAJOR SPOILERS

Silly story. It was obvious from the start that the "mystery" woman was a man in a wig. It was also obvious that it was Tom Powers, because from the beginning his behavior was over the top stalkerish. Everything in this was poorly done. Why was Tom threatening Betty about testifying against the killer anyway? He had nothing to do with the murder. When Tom axed the breaker box to make the elevator fall, how did he manage to only hit the fuse for Betty's elevator and not affect any other electricity in the building? When the woman threatening Betty called, the cop went to find her, leaving Betty unguarded, instead of calling another cop. Why did Betty go off with Tom instead of locking the door and staying there like the cop said, when she knew the "woman" was outside somewhere? And if Tom was so obsessed with Betty, why have we never seen him before? When she first saw him in the hall she acted like she had never met him before. Skippable.

Pretty Good
2 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Gary Lockwood is a good actor. He usually plays deranged, crazed murderers, so it was nice to see him here as a normal person. Unfortunately, I immediately assumed he was behind everything, because he is always a villain.

It was an interesting story, and it's always a better show when Barnaby is in it more than JR and Betty. It was a little long and drawn-out, more talk than action, but most of it was interesting and well done. Burr DeBenning did a fine job as the arsonist, and most of the supporting cast were pretty decent. I do enjoy the way Barnaby just swoops in at the end and saves the day. Slightly unbelievable, but fun.

Enjoyable Episode
2 August 2023
Even though it involved yet another Jones relative, (well, a Goddaughter anyway), I thought the story was interesting and a little different than normal.

Ron Hayes (as Sheriff Oscar Hamlin), Bibi Osterwald (as Grace Claymer), Ric Carrott (as Lester Deverill), Greg Evigan (as Blue Simpson), and Don Keefer (as Tully Kupper) all did a fine job. Evigan isn't the greatest actor in the world but he's just so likable that it makes up for it. A lot of people have talked about Bonnie Ebsen (as Laurie) being a bad actress, but I don't think she's that bad. She isn't going to win an Emmy, but I find her rather endearing. Overall it was a fun episode, and thankfully, it was all Barnaby. I like Betty and JR, but they are better in small doses. Buddy Ebsen really carries the show.

Awful
1 August 2023
I agree with everyone else, this was one of the worst episodes ever. The story itself could have been good (reminded me of "Foul Play") but it was horribly executed. That and the writers have gone to the "friends/family in peril" well way too many times.

The character of Foxey Dolan (which is a stupid name to begin with) played by Cassie Yates, was the most obnoxiously annoying character ever created. I assume she was supposed to be cute and quirky; but she wasn't. I was honestly hoping the bad guys would shoot her and shut her up. Even Betty acted like a goop in this one. Nothing about this was funny or entertaining. I'm sure I lost brain cells watching this garbage.
